I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of the final boss battle themes, possibly a penultimate boss because this one just goes too hard for a regular boss theme. I'm just saying they spoiled Lucifer's battle theme in an SMTV trailer as well so I wouldn't put it past them to do it again. Great job btw

They sound similar, but they are not the same (I have covered both tracks so I have kind of "dissected" them if you get what I mean). That's just Kozuka's style.

I'm not musically inclined so I can't explain it well, but I'm almost 80% sure this is Masakado's theme. Sonically, the chants and tone of the song seem more of like "tribal" like Battle -Da'at- (Kind of the Nahobino's theme) and Tsukuyomi's theme opposed to something like Battle -Archangel- or Crazy Dancing Murder where it's very blatantly a "robotic"-esque synth playing despite oppsing factions (Typically older law and older chaos respectively, namely Camael and Ishtar where these songs play) The sound very much lends itself to "deceased guardian ghost of the nation comes back for one last battle" imo and considering PV03 showed him off, I'm feeling pretty certain.

That's the M1 choir, that sound was used in smt 1 & 2 and kozuka brought it back for smt iv, it's a really good choir sound.
I had a hunch it was the M1 lol, it fits really well. Knew about it being in 1&2 but I didn't know bout IV. That's really cool!

Kozuka is an amazing composer and he really helps make the games he works on feel special. His work on V was specially spectacular in my opinion.
