Cansaga bridge connecting Mandaue and Consolacion during Arroyo's Presidency.
Technically this is not the longest bridge as you claim. The bridge is just a part of this 8.5 km expressway which is connected to viaducts (both on cebu and cordova sides), causeways, 4 low-level bridges and an artificial island.

That's my question with my bayaw and friend na mga architect at isa pang friend na engineer pero hindi nila masagot. Walang bridge/daan papuntang Plaza Independencia. Pa south mainland Cebu ang bridge eh

Yes sir tama imong gisulti na private nag finance ani pero dili ni masugdan without the approval of our national govt. This was planned during aquino admin.. but made possible during duterte administration.

To the bay. Instead build a low rise skycraper and park promenade like in singapore or newyork it doesnt llok nice to see those structure scattered arounf the bay close to the bridge. They are the number one polluters in the sea and air and the noise they created everyday. It will be nice if the whole strip will be redevelop. Its close the city center anyway.

Well most bridges and flyovers abroad have claddings for aesthetics while here in ph structures are finished with just plain bare concrete.
