- On Tuesday 2cnd of September, I headed down to the airport to watch my mate's flight arrive in from Orlando. His plane {G-TUIE} had been delayed by 6 hours due to a crew rest problem. So rather than head to the airport at 5am I ended up getting there for about 1030. G-TUIE was supposed to be operating the 1030 Cancun flight. However, at about 1000 Thomson brought in another 787 up from Gatwick G-TUIB to operate the service rather than have it delayed. However, by the time he was fully ready for push and start my mate Hamishes plane had just touched down.
I was able to get some great footage of both of them together. It was a very special and rare moment as it marks the first time we've ever had 2 787s on the ground at Newcastle from the same airline.

Nice one Jonathan :-)
Cheers mate
Very nice!

Hello, great video. But what device do you use to hear the atc and the pilot. I'm starting to get into this now.
I use a Netset scanner.
Looking at where they took stand, i assume the dreamliner is actually too big for an "on pier" stand up at NCL (except the diag point the Emirates 777 uses)
Haha, no they regularly use stand where the Emirates 777 docks. On this occasion as both were so delayed they had to be put onto remote stands as the main airbridge stand was reserved for the emirates which has priority.
Where is the film shot from? Looks a great view point
Its from the bridle path at the end of runway 07
Once I saw one tui 787 there
Very nice ineed.
Have there been any Airbus A350s at Newcastle yet?
None as of yet
Yes once for Airbus test flight no livery just from Airbus ... and test failed so doing one agian next two years..
