Your videos are so helpful for me , in planning exercises for patients , who are recovering from depression and many other types of illness . Such as loss of confidence . Learning to mix again , with other men and give them a purpose and to focus on getting well again . Ty . 👍
👍Great video! I have a template closet, I have labeled everyone (tried to label all) for all my builds. I've always used two sided tape, never tried rolling blue tape, I've got to try that.
The Spectape brand of 'stick tape' is really good too. It's much less gummy than normal double-sided tape. It's a bit more expensive but it saves time on clean-up. However, blue tape works and is way cheaper.
Hi Jason - how would you go about make a template for the complementary side of the one you illustrated? I want to make a cutting board with a geometrical shape. I can make one side of it easy enough, but struggling with the complementary side so the two shapes match exactly. Thank in advance.
Making fully complimentary templates with a finite width blades is impossible. The two curves will be mathematically parallel to each other but not the same length. There's a very good video on a three-step process from Stumpy Nubs that will create what you need - th-cam.com/video/fZmIMmdCTYA/w-d-xo.html.
I love your videos. I live in Florida. We have very high humidity. MDF blisters and crumbles apart in about 3 months. Is there something that I can soak, paint or cover over MDF to protect it? What can I use that can handle high humidity? Sorry I work in a 2 car garage so I am unable to air condition my shop. Thanks in advance.
Fun to find an older video that I’ve never seen. You’ve come so far!
I love the way you're putting it. It's just a way. Thanks bro; very useful video.
Thank you so much for the encouragement! I can't wait to start making some tamplates my self. I've been planning for some time now :)
You are so welcome!

It works pretty good depending on the template. My favorite way is with tape and CA Glue
Good job!
Thanks for the great video. I was considering making templates out of perspex, I hadn’t even thought about using the heaps of scrap wood I have...lol.

Curious, is your shop a stand alone shop separate from your house? If so, what type of heat and air unit do you use? Love your woodworking skills!
In this video I had a stand alone shop and a window unit to cool. A could smaller heaters to heat.

I would use the same making sure the origin for the template was the same or I would use the first template to make a second

If one does not have a spindle sander can another sander be used
As long at you can get in tight spaces sure
I made a sort of spindle sander for my pillar drill using mounted hole saw cut offs ☺️
Would enjoy seeing the free handing first template
Hi, if I want to make a plaque with symmetrical pattern on both side, should I just make one side pattern templet , would that be enough ?
You could but would need to be very precise on setup
Thanks
I want to make a wooden floor on my VW pickup and don't know how to make a template for the curves around the tire well. Suggestion?
Stick tick method.
Where in the heck do you find the router table at.
Can I use plywood for the template
I don’t see why not

I would question the MDF. I’m in GA and never experienced anything like that

What's a gd way, to do template's for a funeral gun carriage
I’m not sure. Haven’t seen one. I would ask around and find someone with a CNC if they are intricate templates.
