After i moved and lived at the 3rd floor of a building (many years ago), i stopped seeing any kind of creatures (only exception is a very rare random fly, if i have my windows open). It makes sense... spiders etc live close to the ground, where their "food" is located. Also: dont have any threes etc that creeps near / up against the walls of the building, ofcourse. 3rd floor or above ftw.

A fakie nose slide definitely could be 'already riding fakie and then doing the nose slide' , versus how a half cab nose slide obviously has the 180 in there as part of the trick. I think trick names and communication in skateboarding can be severely improved if we have some better standards for all of this. 'To fakie' definitely means 'backwards' and _not_ switch. In switch you would definitely have to look forward the 'normal' way, instead of the 'I'm riding backwards and feeling uncomfortable this way' way lol.
I blame it on the fact that popsicle boards make the distinction between nose and tail too subtle. It's one of the things I like about shaped decks. Is the tail in front and I'm facing the other way? That's fakie. Is the tail in front and I'm facing my usual way? That's nothing, 🤣 just skating with my board backwards. Now, if I adjust myself so that my front foot is on the tail and my back foot is bolts, I'm riding switch fakie! 😂
That "Boneless Frontflip" question person. if you see this. Check Out William Spencer. Idk if he did that trick exactly but he's def done things like that or things that could 1UP that. Dude is insane. but his bag of tricks is right up hat alley if thats what ur into. even if ur not still worth a watch. his creativity is on another level
The problem with the term "fakie" on skateboards is that "rolling backwards" isn't thought of as rolling backwards anymore. From a practical perspective, there is no "backward" on a skateboard, not since all our boards have tails on the noses, and not since everyone skates in switch now. In the case of things like rollerblades or bikes, the term "to fakie" means to end up rolling backwards, and rolling backward is completely different for them. I think this is a lot easier to understand. For skateboards, being "backwards" only means rolling with the other foot forward. That's just switch, and switch is another normal stance, so it's not "backwards". The concept of "rolling backwards" on a skateboard today is just completely different than "rolling backwards" was in the 70s.
call me pessimistic, but unless you're a well-known pro skater who left their current sponsor to start their own company, i feel like starting a new brand in skating is hard. there's way to many established brands and other smaller brands to compete with.
Or, at the very least, you need to onboard talent. Get a handful of the hottest skaters out there rn and dump money into their sponsorship. It's the reason I only buy decks with names I like, too support the particular skater (in other words, I won't buy a board that only has the Santa Cruz, but I bought a Blake Johnson to support him). I think skaters who are heavy into social media should let their fans know how they can continue doing what they love, so a brand where the skaters explain how much they make when you buy a deck, with their name on it, could do well.
Have a lot of money, look good, hire good artists, and a bit of luck but mostly having a bunch of money solves all problems. There, just read this no need to watch his rent.
I got antagonized by the grammar police the other day. I tried to enlighten him, and tell him its very arrogant to just assume someone doesn't know how to use the word " You're ". You don't use an apostrophe with the word " You're " and then it autocorrects to " your " . He came around in the end. If you kW what they're saying, you dont need to arrogantly correct them. Why is only the use of there and you're though? Never seen some one arrogantly correct starting a sentence with But or And, or any of the other grammar mistakes that happen 24/7. It's rude to correct people who almost always know the correct way. It advertises, lil pee pee brain and energy
