She’s really amazing. Traveling from Mexico to Jp, I was a bit afraid of the experience but once me and my wife met Kaira everything was amazing. She’s really kind, respectful, knowledgeable, funny and has a lot of patience considering the language barrier. We’ll definitely recommend her and be back with her next time we’re in Japan.
Not only a tattoo artist in a country that is culturally against them (well the old generation) but also a woman in the industry? That's awesome!! Cheering for her! Would love to get some ink from her And Bizen sounds like an awesome person
There's great money to be made once you've established a portfolio and a really solid reputation. I wish her all the very best. I see her hooking up with another skilled, entrepreneurial creative person working in an 'alternative' field and moving to a bigger much cooler home-- with room for all her clothing and the cool decorative objects she loves to surround herself with. Keep up the hard work and keep finding things to inspire you Kaira! You will succeed in a way you currently cannot even imagine, I promise.
Great video. It's nice to hear that the peoples view of tattoos in Japan is changing for the better. For the subtitles the narrators uses a black background with white letters. I wish for the person talking had the same thing. Just my opinion. But i always your videos.
4:51 I think they call these "stencils" 8:58 For all the side work she does, it seems like she's more a graphic designer with tattoo skills. This is a very interesting look at tattoo artists considering how largely taboo tattoos still are in Japan. I would have liked to know how Kaira got her job at Bizen's studio. Was there a skills test? Thank you for another interesting video!
Monetise sci fi movie where males tattoo lenticular image on their forearm or cheek. When other people move from different positions in front of the person with the tattoo, the tattoo images change dependent on the viewer’s standing position.
Nope. Yakuza tattoos are called Wabori, and they cost a lot more than tattoos. Respected wabori artists are relatively hard to find. Yakuza families usually have specific Wabori artists who are only allowed to provide service to the family, and no one else; very traditional.

Glad to see you guys back! Love the episodes of creatives doing work outside of typical office 9-5.

Added in the description🌮!!
Why you Not upload Back then??
I'm pretty sure tattoos are still outside the mainstream, many onsens will deny you for fear of yakuza connections
I want to see Ken eat/drink in his goofy outfits
