The “midi” city is such an awesome way to have a diverse display without the size commitment of the full scale sets. Using the CITY set as inspiration was perfect. I really like the MOC and the story integrated with the cat elements.
I think maybe an overlooked reason this build works so well in your city is the fact that it’s only 2 stories. The short and squat factor compared to its neighbors gives the skyline a more natural feel.
Love the recent direction you have been moving with this series. Would be great to see you make a small version of one of the buildings you worked on in real life.

I attended BricksCascade in Portland, Oregon for the first time last year, and made a rookie mistake--bringing too many things to display! In the future, I'll bring just one large MOC and one small MOC.

Unfortunately I tend to work the best in a scenario like that! Conventions are great - wish we had more in California too!

I think you are right ! We just moved and I’m rethinking the roads already !
The sardine factory boss should proactively add a fire escape. Those little fish are known to be highly flammable.
