    Hi CodeNMore - this has to be a first for me....commenting upon a video! - have to say, im really getting into your Beginner Electronics. I am actually 44, ive always been interested in electronics and have opened up many products to play around with, and always having many extra bits left over after putting it all back together! - I have more recently started learning more, and even though I know some of the basics, ive started off with video 1 and now just watched 10. At first, I did not think I would pick much up, ...how wrong. There maybe parts that I glazed over ..a little, but I still gain more knowledge than what I started with. I note you do other videos, however please carry on with this series. I just cannot believe you dont have more subscribers and/or this should be placed into some form of education program, as the way you conduct yourself, and explain matters is excellent. Hoping part 11 is not too far away! - thanks!

    Amazing course , I have always had comprehension problems when it comes to electronics, but with your videos, I understand so easily, everything is well explained......i have a question about this video, i noticed that the cathode is on the regular rows of the breadboards, can we consider that side as the negative terminal ? and about the wire , i don't understand why there is one side on the negative terminal of the power rails instead of the positive terminal of the power rails , could you break this down for me ? thank you so much

    Am I correct is saying that your circuit path goes from the negative terminal of the battery, through the jumper cable, through the resistor, into the LED, and then finally through the positive terminal of the battery, thus completing the circuit?

    Great series for brushing up your electronics basics. Strong basics with workable advise! Is it good practice to use an old breadboard for a new project? Do breadboards develop short circuits or get broken when left unused?

  • @russellpalmer5610
    @russellpalmer5610 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello CodeNMore. I have some knowledge ability with electronics as I used to study it in the mail. (Long ago.) I never did get a degree of sorts, but have been interested it in for many years. I did get into working with electronics back in 1995 and was constructing Generators for Ranchers mostly, converting Gasoline engines over to propane power, and setting the engine up on a frame with a usually, 6000 watt generator. I made up the controls (brain boxes and components for auto starting to pump water from a well for cattle out in the boonies. They would use the float system, so when a float dropped below a specified height it would attempt a start. 10 seconds per crank. If for some reason the engine did not start, it would rest for ~ 10 seconds, then try again. If for some reason it did not start with three tries, it would shut down.
    I am writing just for a get go on what I am learning here. On the Breadboards, as I am seeing your explanation, I understand the power strips, (top and bottom,) each supply their half of the Breadboard? Now, when you were explaining the rows in the two sections in the middle, and relating "if you put a wire in two of the different rows, or across the center, these holes are not connected" I do bevel you were explaining prior to the wire this to be true? As, when the wire was inserted in two unconnected holes, it would make those holes connect, thus supplying power across the entire board section or rows with the wire. Did I get this correct? (The wire would then become the conductor.)

    Very Good videos for absolute Beginner learning electronics . Video#1 to Video#10 not suitable for younger generation because they already learnt in Lower Secondary School Science Physics . Younger generation will feel Boring ! Starting from Video#11 will attract their curiousity and wishing to learn more. Eventhough the videos started 4 years ago , a bit outdated . But I see it very encouraging for layman/absolute Beginner . You are Very good teacher. In future should introducing modern day Ai-Iot + Vhdl/Verilog' FPGA+ Vr/Ar/Mr/Xr .

    Hello, I'm still watching your videos, you're amazing with how you're explaining all details. I have a question here why connecting resistor before or after led doesn't matter? Idk if doesn't matter only with led or with all components, in addition the current flows from+ to - so if u put the resistor after, how it can protect it

  • @allmyinterests5139
    @allmyinterests5139 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice series, really appreciate it pal! Got a question tho, does it matter where the resistor sits , like on the + or - side of the led? Or is it just important that its somewhere in the circuit? Ive seen videos with both versions, but they never specify why they put it there exactly.. on my breadboard, both versions work, but Im not sure if i can damage something.. ty!
