rm/namjoon is self-taught and fluent in english. he's VERY good actually. his accent tends to come off as americanized so many mistaken him as a korean-american.
Yeah he's self taught, but his pronunciation is weird and he has a bit of an accent, can't call him fluent but he definitely deserves credit for his English!
@@mariwashereeee his pronunciation is decent for a korean that learned to speak english through an american tv series.. and what accent? his 'accent' sounds like any other american accent to me. he sounds pretty natural. for me, the only noticeable problem is his word choices, which i honestly don't blame him for at all. i think he has a bit of trouble fully expressing himself at times since he isn't a native. he tends to use more awkward wording and his speaking is a bit weak compared to before, which i don't blame him for at all. he used to be surrounded by english speakers for a while in the earlier years (2014-2015ish) so maybe the lack of all that afterwards took a toll on his english speaking.

Rather than a video like this, I recommend a video titled "namjoon being done with everything!" namjoon is rm of bts. rm is bts leader. (rm is the only fluent English speaker in bts)

When learing English, as a non english speaking person(people who arent fully fluent), we tend to pick on things and little habits people around us do while talking. We learn and adapt the way we speak based on how other people speak. If i watch a sertain person's video for a long time I might start talking like them because there isnt anyone around me that speak the language that i can comunicate with...

No they are not imitating you. RM is fluent in English and all the members can speak some English, and they can mostly understand what people are saying. I admire them for learning a second or third language, they can speak Japanese as well as Korean and English.

Most of these moments were on livestream. They accidentally said a brand name, so they started naming brands that they work with like Louis Vuitton, Samsung, Coway, etc. Idk why people recommended this knowing it was gonna be hard to understand 😭🤣. @10:36 it's true lmaooo. For all of them tbh.

Namjoon English is very good along with all the boys.
Yep no imitation, they were basically talking about their experience after their speeches and award shows. Usually after any big event or achievement, or even just in a regular day bts do live streams to kinda check in on army's, spend quality time, and update us. Sometimes it's every member sometimes it's a few or a duo, or it's alone.
