Great video Dan 👍 Do you prefer the AMS on the P1 series or the A1 series for multicolour printing? I'm dropping my first video on the entire eSun PLA+HS filaments shortly, I'm envious how you've managed to go towards having to have less colours instead of more!🙂
I love eSUN petg hs! I have a couple p1s with ams, and the cardboard spools are an issue. There are ways to deal with it, but it’s a pain. The upside of the p1s with ams is that the filament is kept dry in the ams. This can be a big deal if you need to print PETG or other moisture sensitive material. I also prefer full enclosures to help with noise and fumes if I need to print Asa or abs. My prints are mostly functional, so I need to support engineering materials, not just pla. I really like the idea of the A1 though. A little color makes a huge difference in the product.
yea cardboard with the AMS suckkkkkss - the AMS lite (a1) is much better for handing cardboard spools. If you print primarily with PLA i suggest the A1, if other materials then the p1s/ams enclosure. The A1 combo is much more cost effective though. I will say now that I have a bunch of A1's and P1's the quality of the P1 series printers is a bit better
Revenue is not equivalent to profit. Sales don’t directly translate to money gained. I’d imagine the profit margins are super high on these, but saying you made $6000 is dishonest when material costs, electricity, labor, and machine maintenance need to be taken into account
You made that much because you have over a 120 printers. No average person can do that or get that far and even less each time you grow. Dont buy from these massive farms. His advice is nice but he doesnt care or think about the small person or business. Just because you pay for something doesnt absolve you of your social responsibility and role in this market. Let me just break down the numbers he just told you from one type of print he made If he got that type of number every day for a year he would make over $100,000 off of one print. Many of us can barely even sell $100 of one print and are doing massive different kinds.
Whats your problem man? Hes so open about everything and showing you how he runs his business in detail. Why attack him over that. If you have an issue with it, simply dont watch the video... He grew the business over many years.. no reason someone else couldnt do this as well if they have the drive to do so. I only started 3d printing with 3 printers (2x A1's and 1x X1C) about 5-6 weeks ago. My very first sale was for two of the big crystal dragons (Which i do have a commercial license for) and sold them for $50 each. This channel is giving me so much inspiration to scale up to what it could turn into one day.
