in D&D there's a type of dragon called a steel dragon, It can live for dozens of centuries but each one they conjure the identity of a mortal, grow up and "die" and restart with a new persona, I know this is your own world with rules on magic that suit your narrative but I have a habit of tacking logic on imaginative laws.
They go through a ritual called the “vaulting”. Before they start a new life, they create an object that represented their life’s greatest achievement, before prompting forgetting. All their memories and experiences will return when the dragon is only a century from death, where they enter a state of reflection.
Ralof: Hey, you. You’re finally awake. You were trying to cross the border, right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there. Lokir: Damn you Stormcloaks. Skyrim was fine until you came along. Empire was nice and lazy. If they hadn’t been looking for you, I could’ve stolen that horse and been half way to Hammerfell. You there. Technically the Mama dragon doesn't speak. It's more of a communication between the dragoness and her and the dragoness is translating. (Also I had know idea how to do the voice since it is new)
And while we at it, I have a wee secret of my own. **pops out small cat ears and silver lion tail** I’m… not completely human. I’m half nemean lion… surprise… ehehe…
Ngl, I had no clue what was going on, but let me try to figure this out. So she was captured for being part dragon, the listener found her, we already know that her family is all dragons, the listener fights of the half drunken guards, listener gets knock out, she basically pulls a werewolf move on us & goes full dragon, the listener wakes up after she killed everyone & takes the listener to safety, listener sees her in full dragon form, listener has no clue what's happening, she turns back thx to mama dragon (I mean if it were me I would've just said mama but whatever) than the listener finds out she is part dragon?? Is that right?
