- BTM from Kraków, probably Poland's first real skinhead band, emerged in 1986 and released just two demos during their short-lived existence (though they would have a brief comeback and two vinyl releases in the 90s). We' picked a track from their second demo, dating back to early 1987. It captures the spirit of early, straight-from-the-garage Polish Oi music, yet without the ugly chauvinism that surfaced in some of BTM's other tracks. The song takes us into the era of martial law under General Wojciech ("Wojtek") Jaruzelski. It squarely targets ''Wojtek' as the figure responsible for bringing the country to its knees, while refraining from criticising the system as such. Interestingly, in a 2016 interview, BTM's vocalist Bogdan expressed a sense of regret over the demise of the Polish People's Republic, particularly reminiscing about the Gierek era of the 1970s.
