It’s clear that Elizabeth, Aigis, and Yukari loved Makoto. They were definitely hurt by his passing.
Mitsuru too, reload kinda changed most of her line after we beat Yukari in the battle for the keys.

It's interesting how Aigis and Elizabeth go on separate paths, while Aigis finds an answer. Elizabeth continues her search, at least according to Persona 4 Arena

To think Elizabeth is still searching a way to resurrect Makoto (during and after P4AU), it shows how Makoto is able to achieve something neither Joker nor Yu could...
I mean, neither of them are dead so we don't know what their assistants would do
She is searching for a way so his soul can peacefully pass away instead of being a door for eternity
Good video, but Elizabeth doesn't really "talk about" Makoto. She's clearly troubled by what happened and is thinking about him/how to free him, but she doesn't bring him up or anything (even vaguely). Maybe alter the title a little bit for better accuracy (just my opinion, at any rate).
Yeah but it does hint that she's thinking about him and what to do about his situation. She was probably thinking of leaving the Velvet Room after as mentioned by Margaret and seen in the P4 Arena games

These cryptic added Liz dialogues where really interesting... maybe they're teasing us about something (they're teasing us about it since Base P4 lol that's 15 years ago) that will happen, Maybe P5 Arena or P6?
Aigis must pay for what she did to him by taking his place or just being destroyed so mankind is saved for the cyber matriarchy.
P5 already has the equivalent of P4 arena in terms of continuity (5 strikers) they either do an enhanced version of strikers or just leave this still as a cliffhanger for a couple of years, unless they give finally a resolution in P6.

Seems like Atlus is aware and still hasn't brushed off to the side what they did with Elizabeth in persona 4 arena, her promise and her journey
I kinda hope they will actually expand in Elizabeth's journey with the help of the og S.E.E.S. team members and make a mainline game out of it
Or they could just create a sequel to persona 3 with a new protagonist who could be a distant relative of makoto taking place in the same school with Elizabeth reappearing and we may be able to witness makoto finally being unsealed with Erebus finally being destroyed for good.

Wouldn't it be funny if Persona 6 is about some moron like Takaya 2.0 wanted to end the world by releasing Nyx, he succeeded but Makoto Yuki will be revived as well but not as a person, but something like Pharos/Ryoji of Persona 6 Protagonist.

Probably not the best place to be asking this but… what was the point of that plot thread in P4 arena where Elizabeth wants to save Makoto-kun from being the great seal? If the idea is that he’s gone forever (because in real life when people die, they’re gone for good. That’s basically the main message of Persona 3, right? Learning to accept death?), why is that subplot even there in the first place, especially if Atlus doesn’t seem interested in giving it any form of conclusion?
Update: In case I confused anyone, I’m not asking why Elizabeth has set out to do what it is she wants to do, but rather why Atlus has created that subplot in the first place. Because it’s been a decade now and they seem to have no intention of giving it any form of conclusion. I kind of feel like they should’ve never mentioned anything about Elizabeth trying to free Makoto-kun to begin with if they weren’t interested in giving that story thread some kind of resolution.
I think she wants to find a way to let his soul rest in peace.
Spoilers ahead
So, after fighting Nyx, his soul became the great seal, which makes it impossible for him to go to the afterlife (if there is one) or to rest in peace, as he'll remain as the great seal forever. Elizabeth wants to find a way to get rid of Nyx so his soul can finally rest in peace. His body was buried a while ago, so he can't revive
I mean he’s already dead, but his soul can’t pass onto the next life as it’s currently stuck keeping the seal active, so regardless of whether Elizabeth succeeds or not he would always remain dead, at best he could reincarnate if their even is such a thing in the persona universe, or maybe an afterlife who knows for sure, what we do know is that makoto soul is currently stuck trying to keep the seal active, Elizabeth’s goal is to free his soul so that he makes it onto the next life whether that be reincarnation or an afterlife etc. his real body however has long since been buried and he’s already clinically declared dead even if they couldn’t find a cause for it.
They wanted to change the attendants so it is their way of replacing her with another one.

They haven't forgotten about it, but for some reason they don't want to continue this plot, a spin-off would be enough.

I still dont really get what the point of this remake was if they wouldnt throw a bone and give players two endings for The Answer/Episode Aigis.
One that follows the end of The Answer and a new ending that shows SEES saving Makoto or freeing his soul.
Having a second possible ending could've made up for the fact that Persona 3's identify, aesthetic and gameplay mechanics unique to the original Persona 3 were sacrificed in Reload.
