That return chain needs a idler pulley - it is all over the place.

Oh yeah, had to Shorten the boom
So I could test ride it. I need to cut some of that chain. Thanks for commenting.

@@FMChronicles The solution is to retrofit to a belt drive system. Long chains on these trikes often miss or jump cogs especially on rear suspensions. It is just too much mass moving and swinging.

@@FMChronicles My voice can be hard to understand. So it took a couple of tries. All the bolts are 4 mm. Just loosen them up, sit down and move everything where its comfy, then tighten them. You can check/set the toe in with a curtain rod and a sharpie. Make sure the quick release skewers on the axles are tight. I've lost two, in the last ten year, and they are what holds the axle in.
      Be aware, be safe.

      Thanks kirk
We got them set just right now.
The Steering grows on you, I kinda like now. Would like to know where you got those clip on Sandals? I think I better get a pair and see if I like being clipped in.

Believe it or not, the Expeditions frame only weighs a couple of ounces North of 7 lbs. Make sure and get the frame number from the bottom of the trike and register it with Catrike, they warrantee the frames forever, no questions asked. Well they might ask but, they'll still give you a new one, if you break it. That has only happened two times, neither was an Expedition. If it still has the Marathon Racers on it, plan on the trike being a bit slower then my two. For some reason they have a much higher rolling resistance, then the Big Bens or Big Apples. They are also stiffer and you feel all of the vibration of the frame. I hate them. The Expedition corners like a dream and is even easy to handle up to 50 mph. The Aluminum frame vibrates a lot more than your ICE's CroMoly frame, so until you change the tires, your brother will feel it. Also there was a design flaw in the steering, that Paulo will never admit to. So there is a sticksion ring in the top of the headset, check them and see if it needs replacing, if Catrike doesn't have them in stock, I have some. Other then the frame, I have a complete Expedition in spares. Just give me a shout. Doesn't matter which one of you, I can't tell ya apart anyway.

Thanks kirk! That will be very helpful.
I don't get the Steering on this thing.
It's like you have to Twist instead of Push or pull. Does that seem right?
The Steering is so different than what am Used to. I'll have to find that number.too. A wealth of info here. Sounds like you're the goto guy When it comes to the expedition. I'm sure my brother will have questions. Yeah , we get that allot .we respond to each others names .Talk to you soon.

@@FMChronicles the direct steering can be confusing at first, when you're used to the ICE indirect setup. It is very responsive with good road feel. Very customizable. The stock neck rest is weak though. Since it has been been sitting, lube the front axles. I use Loctite Lithium Aero Lube. Don't ride it, before you give it to your brother, or he'll get the ICE. 😉

@@FMChronicles I'll make a video tomorrow and show you the different adjustments to the steering, and how it works. The hill next to my place has some corners, and I do about 40 coming down. By the way that trike cleaned up is worth about $2250 USD. The front fenders (rare) and the Man Mountain rack, are both spendy items. Not sure how much that Euro bubble fairing cost but, my Windrapp fairing runs about $500 USD. My Gotliebe 25L bags were around $300 USD. The Sheepskin was only $39.95 w/free shipping on Ebay, so get one for your brother, ya cheap bosturd. Check out the single hung hubs, on the front, Paulo is the only one to figure that out, and it makes for a really smooth and dependable steering. Unlike the Terratrike. It is one of Paulo's trade secrets. Toooooo bad for him, I know who he gets them from.
