I was just trying to explain that the Leafs bounced back after being down, finding ways to win no matter the pressure! So no, with last night's meeting against Tampa, it's not acceptable to be down by 3 goals after one period. I'm sure Sheldon Keefe, the couch gave his players a much needed talk in the dressing room after the 1st period. However mistakes happen & Samsonov was definitely off his game. Joseph Woll sharper in net! & Woll played terrific in last years playoffs getting his team to overtime in game 5 against Florida!!

Another good comeback by the leafs against Tampa. Leafs seem to have their number. This game is almost a repeat of the last meeting. Tampa dominates, runs out of gas and the leafs come back for the win in OT. On the negative, both teams give up way too many shots on net and goals allowed per game to compete against the top teams in the league. Neither will go far in the playoffs.

I was just trying to explain that the Leafs bounced back after being down, finding ways to win no matter the pressure! So no, with last night's meeting against Tampa, it's not acceptable to be down by 3 goals after one period. I'm sure Sheldon Keefe, the couch gave his players a much needed talk in the dressing room after the 1st period. However mistakes happen & Samsonov was definitely off his game. Joseph Woll sharper in net! & Woll played terrific in last years playoffs getting his team to overtime in game 5 against Florida!!
Don't know what Keefe said to them at intermission but he virtually saved his job tonight
Leafs can definitely score goals. And the core 4 are playing great. But this team is very leaky on the goal prevention side. They desperately need to shore up things on the blueline. As good as Klingberg has been on the PP, he's not the defenseman this team needed.
Raptors yesterday win overtime and tonight the Maple Leafs win in overtime that's 6 straight overtime wins over Tampa Bay for Toronto

Another good comeback by the leafs against Tampa. Leafs seem to have their number. This game is almost a repeat of the last meeting. Tampa dominates, runs out of gas and the leafs come back for the win in OT.
On the negative, both teams give up way too many shots on net and goals allowed per game to compete against the top teams in the league. Neither will go far in the playoffs.
The shot numbers were fine but the goals, no. TB give up 4 to Ottaea and 6 to Toronto. Not good considering

We felt so bad at how often we come back on Tampa we gave them a pity point and then proceeded to not let them touch the puck
