Great review. Everytime I drive my strada athlete it gives me confidence on its speed and reliability because of its ralliart spirit on its design ang engine. When I chose it I consider many things and details like speed, comfort, engine, and maintenance although the strada is a bit outdated from its competitors but the design and speed will make you still say wow. When you drive it and hit the gas pedal it will give you the speed that you want plus the shifting is smooth with no delays. Yeah your right infotainment should have been updated with apple carplay and android auto but it doesn't bother me at all because driving should be focus on the road. The engine is the overall plus factor to purchase this pick-up. The 4d56 engine maybe old but its one of the most or perhaps the most reliable diesel engine in the market. It has power, cannot be easily broken, and easy to maintain because of its parts availability in the market. I dont want to dig in more pa sa details baka lalo lang humaba. Hehehe! Bottomline is if they want a pick-up with superb speed, handling, and engine reliability na walang gaanong arte sa tech na mukhang transformer ang design then they can also choose the Strada. 🙂😁
When I visited a Mitsubishi dealership in CV, I heard there is a shortage of units and the reason given is chip shortage. Moreover, what are suppose to be more readily available are the L300s.
Would've been better if done in a rallycross track for the naysayers to really keep quite but some factors surely prevented Ai from doing so. Nevertheless a great short review to showcase one of the many strengths of the Strada versus its rivals. I just wish there was more emphasis on how special the engine is given variable valve-timing tech(MIVEC, VTEC, Dual-VVTi) is commonly found in gasoline engines only but only the Strada and Montero Sport has such tech in a diesel for its segment. That's basically one of its major selling points, that 2.4 engine is meaty compared to a comparable Hilux 2.4. Edit: love sir Vince's round tho. Jamil's slightly slower lap might be due to not being as familiar with Mitsubishi's driving dynamics unlike Vince who's very much used to already, and due to experience ofc hehe. Drove it very like Masuoka-san hehe
Yeah a rallycross course would be awesome, but too far given our schedules lately. And definitely the application of MIVEC (minus the lift, i think) in diesel has always been a great advantage. As for Masuoka, I've ridden with him on many occasions, and what really stands out about his driving is his ability to read the surface and adapt his driving to it. Thats the dakar experience
@@vcpornelos hi sir. Just curious. Was Masuoka-san the driver of that mitsubishi strada on the rally track from the time it was launched here in the Philippines 3 yrs. ago?
uhhm just a little correction about mitsubishi strada athlete's super select 4WD-II. It doesn't have a rear diff-lock but rather a center diff-lock.. 2H- 2High 4H- 4High 4HLc- 4HighLockedcenter diff. 4LLc- 4LowLockedcenter diff. strada has the advantage compared to other japanese pickup trucks that has only rear diff-lock
australia 4wd-24/7 youtube channel tested all popular pickup trucks in 2020 and 2021. Mitsubishi triton (strada) came on top in total points in both 2020 and 2021.
Each time i ride My strada i smile Each time i hit the gas pedals i smile more Each time i load 1-1.5 tons of vegies i smile big Each time i travel for leisure i smile bigger Damn too quick for a ute 🤣
@VlogVlogan eh ano naman kung ginawan pa rin nila ng review na may basag ang tail light? May magbago ba specs at capability during test drive? Mag isip ka nga, tanga mo.
That orange seats looks gay. And that Athlete sticker looks hideous. This truck badly needs an all new model. The engine and transmission is good though. Hopefully Mitsubishi can improve it for the next model or perhaps pair it with a hybrid system.
I agree with the Strada’s dynamics, I experienced it myself and man that truck will leave a smile to your face.
think ive driven some pick up trucks but man, strada's engine tuning is superb. its all about experience.
Damn right!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Its from the 2017 strada 2.4 (4N15) AND 2.5 (4D56)
To this day this is still my Dream Pick Up Truck!
Same.

Try nyo sa edsa at C5 sobra talbog at body rolling... 🤭
strada, hilux and d-max all use the same model of transmission from the same vendor
Strada is good looking. But the inside is already outdated, hoping to see new version in 2023

The infotainment system varies from dealer to dealer. IMHO. Avoid the ones using AVT’s infotainment system. 😹

A broken tail light for a demo unit? This looks bad for mitsubishi.
