I am a 6' tall, C5/6 quad and I ride (rarely) an Excelerator. I have always struggled to ride it. Being tall and lacking core strength, I get tired quickly and end up hunched over the cranks. Not fun. Over the years I have made changes to the bike so I can ride it better and more comfortably. I added the 3-pin, quad-hand pedals and that made it easier to pedal but I still wasn't comfortable riding. Then I bought Top End's Mountain Drive. Better. Then I had the back cushion raised/extended so my chest strap is higher on my chest. Better. . I want to ride. I'm thinking about getting an Excelerator XLT. The back cushion has a strap, it reclines and it still has a coaster brake. I would put my 3-pin, quad-hand pedals on it. Shifting will still be tough with my hands even with the three-pronged adaptor on the shifter knob. My main question to you and/or Top End is, can I put my Mountain Drive on an Excelerator XLT? Excellent period of instruction.
