Yes. Always be respectful to the locals wherever you travel, and you'll be fine. Don't expect the locals to sing to your tune as they're the citizens of their nation, after all. Malaysians are well known for their friendliness and generosity towards tourists, so if you come across individuals that doesn't speak English at all and tend to stare at you, they're 99%of the time, foreign workers!😅😊
The staring put off solo female travelers.

Hi there lovely folks. May I suggest you visit the islands on the East Coast of Malaysia like Redang, Perhentian, Rawa or Kapas. If you want to get cool weather, you can try Cameron or Genting Highlands. Cheers!

Thanks, I'm glad you think so
Foreigners who come to Malaysia must be good at distinguishing between local people and foreigners or foreigners who can't guess which is very different from the locals..some of them don't know how to speak English.
Take care guys, see you in the future

A couple of hours earlier I watched another you tube video where the presenter downplayed Malaysia. After just 2 weeks in KL she appered to give me the notion she knew everything about Malaysia.
Just for your info, foreign workers from Bangladesh. Pakistan, Nepal, India. Indonesia, Phillipines, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam are employed as low skill workers. Some from these nations may not be able to speak in English, except for those from the Philippines. Malaysians generally, do not stare at Caucasians as we get to see many of them regularly. But it is not the case for the workers from some of these nations.
There are some foreigners who prefer beach destinations even if fhey are in third world nations with poor infrastructure. Unlike Malaysia which has excellent infrastructure and catered more for professional expats and high value migrants.
