FINALLY, the main reason I never wanted an Analogue pocket is how open the cartridge slot was. I've gone from a no, to on the fence. The design can only improve from here
Damn, i need to do this. My biggest complaint with the analogue pocket is the shoulder buttons, i always feel like im gonna accidentally tilt the cartridge if im not careful
Awesome video, thanks! Even though I personally use the cartridge adapters and have no use for this version I really like that people are doing these mods. Now only for something similar which allows you to use the adapters as well. I am curious though why in the beginning of the video you hold a mic (Aston Origin I think?) in your hand that is not meant to be used like that. The sound is ok though, so no worries there. But I see a lot of content creators do this and I don't understand why.
Thank you! Hopefully the creators can make a version to work with the adapters too! Yes it’s the Aston Spirit! Good eye! I’m a music producer and I wanted to use a high quality mic for the audio. Honestly I tried it with a mic stand and it just looked wrong in the camera/felt way more natural to hold it in my hand and the condenser doesn’t pick up any movement so 🤷🏻♂️
Honestly for the price and lack of upgrades and availability issues i generaly think its better to just mod a 3ds,but it is nice to see someone taking the effort to actually improve on the design rather than letting it stagnate
If you want to play the actual carts and you have the money aaand it’s in stock aand you’re willing to pay import fees if you’re outside the US… then it’s pretty great. I get what you’re saying, I always recommend the Funny Playing GameBoy Colour but a modded 3DS is a great shout!
@@_2ndliferetroi have a dumb question I have seen lots of 3ds on ebay coming from china And i always see people talking about tariffs and importing fees Where does one pay that? Is that included in the price of the console? Or after u press purchase, you get sent a link to pay? Im so confused cuz i see tons of consoles that say that but i dont even know where i would have to pay for it
@@akapeegly6463 Definitely not a dumb question! Depends where you are but in the UK anything below £135 you won’t pay import tax on. If it’s over that then whatever company that’s shipping it to you will either reach out via email or send you a letter with how much/where to pay. Some also add handling charges on top of the tax 😑 - hope that helps!
@@_2ndliferetro thanks for the help! im currently in the states and i wonder, is the tax or tariffs usually a huge amount? or just a few dollars more? those 3ds i been looking into cost around $250-300, i would be okay paying maybe $10-20 extra but anything more to me just seems like a bit too much
@@akapeegly6463 I’m pretty sure for us it’s a percentage of the original amount paid, but it changes depending on what the item is and where it’s coming from. Secondly, dam! $250-$300, I’m assuming it’s a new 3Ds XL’s? I’d love to get one as well, just to mod, but those are very high prices 😅 could try your luck at some garage sales or thrift stores?

time lapse 3d printing is always 🤌 so satisfying
I'm surprised there's no horizontal version of the Analogue Pocket
Would love to see it!

😂 agreed, I know it’s secure in there but it just feels wrong…
Needs a version that supports cart adapters. Been playing a lot of gamegear lately.
I hate that the back plate (stock) is not flush! This looks like an awesome upgrade
Same here, never made sense to me..

I think that the analog pocket is out of control now. It's like the pokemon games of the handheld world now.

I am kind of baffled that you deleted my comments pointing to a simpler solution to improve the shoulder buttons. Why is that ?
Hey mate, I haven’t deleted any comments, whats your solution?
I feel like this was a troll but I also really wanna know what this simpler solution is 😂
@@_2ndliferetro Could it be, that youtube filters out links ? i already answered you and the post did not show up
