A Perfect Circle...ANYTHING from their Stone and Echo performance live at Red Rocks is incredible!! Here's a couple stand outs in it: Orestes , By and Down, When the Levee Breaks, 3 Libras..etc. POLO....PLEASE do something from this Stone and Echo Red Rocks stuff man, you'll be blown away!
I have to look him up. I’ve always loved APC but I’ve never really dove into the other members. Does he have any drum cam or in studio stuff on TH-cam?
When I saw APC Maynard was behind a semitransparent screen so you could only see his shadow for the first half of the shower. When he finally came out he was in a full Santa outfit.
Maynard sings as if he is emotionally invested in the music (this particular song, like ‘Judith’-he is-and you feel it). This is what sets him and the rest of the band apart from many others who, even though may sound good, just sing the words or play the parts. When you can FEEL the music in your core-you know it’s special.
Just discovered this band on another reaction page listening to their version of When the Levee Breaks. This is a great band. Thanks for beating me to the discovery.
You gotta check out the lyrics to this song. Angry Maynard. "Think about it, you're poundin' on a fault line!" As I recall, that was recorded on one of the late shows in the early 2000's, hence the video quality.
I saw APC years ago. James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins was playing with them. Maynard kept his back to the audience the entire show. Somehow it was even more engaging than if he had been facing us.
I've seen Tool and a perfect circle... The Tool show, he had this amazing artwork on heaps of screens and all the screens were 8n time with the beat of the music.. pulsating, apart of the songs...just absolutely mesmerising
My absolute favorite song by A Perfect Circle is Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums. I wish you'd do a reaction to that song! ❤♾️
A shout out to Billy Howerdel (the bald guy who plays the guitar) it's his band and I think he pretty much writes all the tunes while Maynard provides the lyrics. A Perfect Circle is Billys little baby, but yes Maynard IS one of a kind.
Quick FYI on this particular number from The Hip, they were on Saturday Night Live in the 90's, introduced by fellow Canadian Dan Ackroyd. They played this song but it wasn't well received so they never really broke through in the US. Another band to explore would be The Glorious Sons. They, too are from Kingston, ON. They are harder rockers than the Hip and absolutely fantastic. 🤗🇨🇦✌️
There has never been a scream more primordial and reflective of man's frustration than that. Ironically he did it on Leno. At least it's out there. I'm a pragmatist.
Hey Polo I recommend Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA. The official video then the live one that has the the spanish introduction. Completely powerful and often misunderstood song.
Maynard is a great vocal talent but what really separates him is his phrasing, which is what you referred to with the cadence and aggression he delivers lines with
YUS....Just came from your Tragically hip review... I started with Tool reaction cause my fave band...The hip is second ..I guess, they are on same footing. So happy you are covering this!
For the past decade or so Maynard has stayed in the back for Tool, even for social commentary between songs. For A Perfect Circle he is usually up front, and with Puscifer he and another vocalist may sing together and/or different lines. Of course this I know from all the videos I have watched, and the one Tool concert I attended after 10,000 Days released. 😉 I think I may have just come up with a good title track for the next Tool album when it comes out in 8+ years. 😭
dammit! lol I'm loving your channel but you MUST listen to songs of this caliber from the recorded version! I beg of you! live after!! edit: I see you've heard it before, principal still stands!! :P

Josh freeze is the drummer who drums for multiple bands Including Foo Fighters now.
He was with Puscifer for a while as well! Amazing drummer.
That's Josh Freese
One of their drummers was from Alice in Chains as well
A Perfect Circle...ANYTHING from their Stone and Echo performance live at Red Rocks is incredible!! Here's a couple stand outs in it: Orestes , By and Down, When the Levee Breaks, 3 Libras..etc. POLO....PLEASE do something from this Stone and Echo Red Rocks stuff man, you'll be blown away!
Totally agree!!!!
100
I'm beyond excited to see them at Red Rocks in April. Bucket list band at my bucket list venue.
Bucket list for sure, I’m jealous!! LOL Hope u have a helluva time!
Agree!!
This is hands down the best live televised performance ever. Josh Freese is a F’ing beast!!
Great way to start my day, thanks for your reaction to this song 🎧💙☕️. OMG, LOVE THIS SONG‼️
The drummer is one of the best in the world. The guy makes it look effortless and he is so humble
I have to look him up. I’ve always loved APC but I’ve never really dove into the other members. Does he have any drum cam or in studio stuff on TH-cam?
Not as good as Danny though
@@kenwilmarth68i mean ye danny is like top 5 ever but josh freesw is def like top 20 at least in the rock world
No one is as good as Danny.
It’s Josh Freese. Who is now the new drummer for the Foos!
I saw a live version of the noose, before hearing the studio version and it blew me away with how amazing it sounded.
When I saw APC Maynard was behind a semitransparent screen so you could only see his shadow for the first half of the shower. When he finally came out he was in a full Santa outfit.

Anything live from Red Rocks is pure ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Just discovered this band on another reaction page listening to their version of When the Levee Breaks. This is a great band. Thanks for beating me to the discovery.
One of my favorite songs on one of my favorite albums❤️
Don’t forget Maynard has another band. Puscifer. I’m not joking. The Remedy by Puscifer is a must!
I haven’t hraythis song in about 15 years. It made me realise how much I missed listening to a Perfect Circle and Tool.
I ❤ Brad Wilk lol love that shirt. Brad Wilk is the drummer of Rage Against the Machine
I saw them live a few years back. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Seeing A Perfect Circle, Puscifer and Primus in April for Maynard’s 60th Birthday. Also went to see them for his 50th birthday. Going to be awesome
🤯🤯🤯 I thought about flying to a different state to see that show.
I am excited for you just reading this!!
‘Maynard always moves like he’s getting shot’ 8:21 😅😂🤣😆
You gotta check out the lyrics to this song. Angry Maynard. "Think about it, you're poundin' on a fault line!"
As I recall, that was recorded on one of the late shows in the early 2000's, hence the video quality.
When I saw a perfect circle, you couldn't see his face.. all long hair in front of his face...Maynard likes to mix it up with his looks ❤
GRAVITY!!! Thats my favorite song by them.
I'd highly recommend A Perfect Circle live at Red Rocks. It's so good.
Oh hell yea LFG!!!!
I saw APC years ago. James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins was playing with them. Maynard kept his back to the audience the entire show. Somehow it was even more engaging than if he had been facing us.

Josh Freese on drums and he is a madman. Love his style
Lmao at describing his movements like getting shot at. It's so accurate. And being a bad as hell rock star all while doing it 🤘🏻
Dude you never heard this? Omg i was 15, some 20 plus years ago, all hopped up on acne. Christ, you're lucky to hear this for the first time now!
My absolute favorite song by A Perfect Circle is Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums.
I wish you'd do a reaction to that song! ❤♾️
“WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS” LIVE FROM REDROCKS
UNBELIEVABLE!!
I saw them around 2017-ish. It was amazing. If you get the chance, I highly recommend.
Maynard always looks like he is experiencing an alien that is taking over a human body for the first time. 👽🖤
Hands down my favorite live performance from Maynard. I was hooked long before this, but this is sick.
TOOL ~ SOBER (LIVE) is VERY popular. Maynard wearing a pinkish onesie
Great idea! APC playlist! ☮️💜🍿🍿
I remember seeing this on late night TV, think it was the Tonight Show or something, tuned in just to see them and was not disappointed.
man every time I listen to this track, which honestly isn't very often, I get reminded about how amazingly good it is
A shout out to Billy Howerdel (the bald guy who plays the guitar) it's his band and I think he pretty much writes all the tunes while Maynard provides the lyrics. A Perfect Circle is Billys little baby, but yes Maynard IS one of a kind.

Another band to explore would be The Glorious Sons. They, too are from Kingston, ON. They are harder rockers than the Hip and absolutely fantastic.
🤗🇨🇦✌️
What are you talking about? What does the Hip have to do with this APC performance!
Josh Frees, drummer extraordinaire 🥁
Yay Polo Maynard 🌼🌾🍁💗
A perfect circle stone and echo live album and video is amazing
Ain't the blond guy with the guitar James Iha? who played in The smashing pumpkins?
Josh Freese. something like 400+ album appearances. He's the go-to guy if you need a drummer in a pinch. Just ask the Foo Fighters!
Your right about Maynard, when I saw him in 2007 during Tool, he stayed nehind the screen
The lead guitarist is Adams tech
IF YOU WANNA see maynard...The live opiate uh concert....Sooo goooodd, especially for "it's time "
Yesssssss, new Curb byte is fire
There has never been a scream more primordial and reflective of man's frustration than that. Ironically he did it on Leno.
At least it's out there. I'm a pragmatist.
Reacting to the scream with
"Maynard being Maynard"
Shows you've come a LONG way since 'discovering' MJK
Sooooooooooooo good.
Hey Polo I recommend Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA. The official video then the live one that has the the spanish introduction. Completely powerful and often misunderstood song.
Maynard live brings some much extra depth. I hadn't seen this before. You have to review when Tool was preforming Push It and he choked out a fan.
You should really react to their live performance at Red Rocks- their cover of Led Zep's When the Levee Breaks. It's absolutely freaking gorgeous.
Led Zeppelin's version is also a cover, but When the Levee Breaks and Peace, Love and Understanding are beautifully covered by APC in that concert
The Red Rocks Stone and Echo performance puts this one to shame it's so good! Orestes, By and Down, Rose and on and on!
Facts! Anything Red Rocks kicks ass!
Maynard is a great vocal talent but what really separates him is his phrasing, which is what you referred to with the cadence and aggression he delivers lines with
He's not a vocalist he's a storyteller which is a vocalist and much more
YUS....Just came from your Tragically hip review... I started with Tool reaction cause my fave band...The hip is second ..I guess, they are on same footing. So happy you are covering this!
Still need to revisit Tool Jambi live 2013 lost DVD. You said to remind you!
Fyi-Maynard was sick during this performance, and he just kills it.
❤
Now go get tickets and experience any of Maynards bands live. Then come give us your reaction to that!
i love this shit!
That was badass ✌️
Check out indigo children from puscifer (v for versatile version) with studio video 👌🙌
Please check out The Apocalypse Remix of this song! You won't be disappointed, I promise!
I'm relatively new here... Is there a reaction vid for "Pet" yet?? 🤔 So intense.
I wrote these lyrics with maynard in 2003 =)
I’m sure someone will believe you one day
You look like you were 8 in 2003
For the past decade or so Maynard has stayed in the back for Tool, even for social commentary between songs. For A Perfect Circle he is usually up front, and with Puscifer he and another vocalist may sing together and/or different lines.

you back on the weed lol?! loved your reaction. :)
Have you been to a concert yet Polo?... what are you waiting for?
Polo did you get your tickets to Puscifer/Perfect Circle/Primus show?!
A better and cleaner live audio is from the Red Rocks show plus an extended guitar solo
Live at Red Rocks Polo not this one! ;)
Maynard makes it all good
If it was up to Maynard, TOOL would play behind a screen with only the visuals and lasers...empty stage.
That’s a better vocal than the studio version. When you’re live you can push harder, take chances, and with Maynard it usually pays off.
Back when Maynard had hair.
Orestes-Live at Red Rocks next please sir!
Yo do Filter again and the song you should do from Filter is Dose
OH snap.. have you reacted to Pusifer yet? I'll go look...
Why have you not done "Blue"?
Wanna see GOOD Grand Funk railroad……inside looking out one of the best almost one man band !!!??
I see a Pearl Jam influence here
dammit! lol I'm loving your channel but you MUST listen to songs of this caliber from the recorded version! I beg of you! live after!!
edit: I see you've heard it before, principal still stands!! :P

Such a mess, why would I want to watch you?
Disconnect and self destruct one bullet at a time
What's your rush now?
Everyone will have his day to die
Medicated, drama queen
Picture perfect, numb belligerence
Narcissistic drama queen
Craving fame and all its decadence
Lying through your teeth again
Suicidal imbecile
Think about it, you're pounding on a fault line
What'll it take to get it through to you, precious?
Go with this, why do you wanna throw it away like this?
