certainly some unique and very different images here, particularly the photo of Eva Braun in blackface

Magnificent indeed !! I esp. liked LBJ howling with his dog (& many others)
And I love that the subtitles are small and reasonably unobtrusive !!
People who think otherwise please get reading glasses

My uncle was just to Jimmy Stewart’s right when they were both awarded the Distinguished Service Medal from the US Army Air Corp! I have a photo of my uncle getting the medal, and you can see part of JS at left!

The one labeled a guy dressed as a mime showed VTOLs flying vertically besides what I assume to be the Alps.

Miss Violetta (3:38) has to be given a lot of credit, as do her parents. Trying to imagine my life like that... I just don't think I could live like that. GOD BLESS her. 🙏💓 She is one tough cookie.

Thanks for the interesting pics but I must point out one error. At 6:33 is a pic of President Hoover and Hitler however, Franklin Roosevelt had been President since 1932.

Yes I was wondering what Hoover's purpose was; not a diplomat at that time.... just liked shitty mustaches?????

Just when you think someone couldn’t sink any lower, Eva Braun in blackface. I’m shocked.

She probably never met a real black person in her entire life.

@@MrCrowebobby yeah I know, I didn’t know Hitler committed suicide it just goes to show you, you never know what someone else is going through until it’s too late.

As a 20th century, WEII & Holocaust historian, I need to explain that as despicable as “Black Face” painting is considered now (and as much as we are disgusted by Eva Braun today), it was very common back in the early to mid-1900’s and long before. As much as we want to judge them by our current standards, it’s simply unfair.

Hi there, Very interesting collection with photos of historic value!
What makes it kind of a bonus to me, is that in the photo of "Utrecht early 1900s" is a store visible I also worked for a year (2017). (The second store on the left after the first bridge). I don't know whether it is still there, but then it was the "THE NORTH FACE" brand-store, Utrecht.

The US Marine Corps Memorial is (or was) at the front gate at Quanico Marine Corps Base. Not Arlington. Or it was in 2009. My husband was stationed at Quantico and we drove by it everyday. Ifit has been moved since then, please let me know.
