    I have the same..exact mower. Installed a brand new belt which seems too small ...but the old one was stretched.... so that makes sense. Also I made my pully adjuster too tight...need to go the other way.... ah moment. Thank you. ( you tube so helpful)

    I have the same issue with my T130 Craftsman. I hope this works. Thanks so much for the tip.

    I have the exact tractor and just replaced the drive belt.. what a pain....I can't get it to stop creeping even after adjusting the pedal rod. It seems the pully mechanism is fully relaxed but the tractor still creeps. I'm hoping the belt will stretch in time and the problem will go away. Thanks for the video.

      I am sorry it didn't help. Please let me know if it gets better or you find something else wrong.

      Did you use an MTD factory belt if not that's your problem cheap aftermarket belts don't have proper wrapping on them which lets them slip when they're disengaged also the Chinese ones that say their Kevlar are not they don't have Kevlar cores so they make them shorter intentionally they know they're gonna stretch. This coupled with the improper edge wrapping causes it not to disengage the drive always buy factory belts you're not saving any money by buying cheap cheap alternative belts

    I have the exact same model. I changed main drive belt but now it drives slow. Cuts fine. The accelerator petal has too much play in it - I did put a new return spring on it. I'm going to try to adjust that bolt you showed in the video. Have any other thoughts on this?

      It should increase your speed by the adjustment.

      @@drkennedy611 I did - helped some - Do you think I need transmission fluid - I think it's a sealed unit.

    Which way did you turn the end of the pedal rod in order to keep it from engaging the belt? I'm getting my mower back from the shop tomorrow and they put a new belt on for me and said they were having problems getting it into gear. I doubt they watched your video so I figure that I'll have to do it myself after I get it home. No need to apologize for the camera work, there's not much space under these mowers. Thanks for the video and any help you can provide on how to adjust that turnbuckle end would be greatly appreciated.

      I can't remember , but you should not have a problem figuring it out. Just turn the direction that makes it looser. Sorry I didn't remember. I hope this solves your problem. I have to go make an adjustment the other way because the speed has slowed as the belt stretches.

      Ok, I will loosen it a bit after I get it home. Thank you again.

      @@drkennedy611 I got an update for ya. I loosened that pedal rod almost all the way out and the mower was still moving on it's own and couldn't get it into gear without turning off the motor. Apparently, the aftermarket belt that I bought had matching numbers but it was too thick/wide to work properly. I have the mower back in the shop and they are ordering an OEM belt that is supposedly exactly the same as the original belt that I just replaced. Thanks again for the video. It was worth a try but it just didn't work with my belt.

    Thanks for the video. I wonder if the drive belt will stretch as it breaks in. If so, you'll already know how to tighten things back up.

    • @drkennedy611
      @drkennedy611  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I will adjust it when that happens

    • @duckflynn3849

      It should not stretch it because you're supposed to the right kevlar belt on it to begin with yeah I know you have a bud it's a rebranded mtd product and takes mtd belts

      Sorry, I just saw this message. Did you find a belt? I don't remember the part number. I looked it up at an online vendor and got it off of eBay I believe.
