Nice video. I'm going to be up in Olean for labor day. I usually ride Ellicottville. These trails look more flowy and I have been wanting to check them out. How do they compare with Ellicottville? It looks like jakes has some beginner/kid friendly trails. My kids ride pretty well but some real techy stuff isn't great for them. Any info would be appreciated. Keep up the good videos.
The Trails at Jakes Rocks are well groomed, machine cut trails so they are more flowy with a lot more features like optional rock drops and jumps than the trails at Ellicotville. Jakes also has the steep downhill trails with some really fun jumps. For kids that can handle some easier rock gardens the green rated trails south of the parking lot like Coal Knob and Tuttletown would be great. They are up on top of the main hill so you don't have to worry about a 500-600' climb or descent either. If they handle those two trails easily maybe try out the lettered trails or Longhouse for a little bit more tech along with some more elevation change.
