You're lucky those Eo's didn't body you at 4:30 considering they had babies and you approached within 3 body lengths of their PS. They had some restraint at least, lots of overlyaggressive Herbivores around atm. (Not that that would have been overagression in this instance) Also I'll never understand why people test their luck with rexes like that 17:14. I always stay well clear of them, 1 BB and you are cooked.
As per the rules, I have to let them go when we 3 each other at the beginning of the fight. It’s to make “fairness”. I personally don’t like the rule being that way bc it’s just a safe guard to fall onto and everyone will do that instead of just out right killing them if you’re hungry enough to hunt.
If someone knows they are cooked they're not going to want to just take a death if there's another option. People already avoid doing terris even when mand, so if it was automatically a fight to the death, hardly anyone would willingly participate. There should probably be some leniency in between for the participants to heal, but that would be difficult to enforce and most likely just lead to more work for the mods.
