I met Arlivia in the 90s when we both ran for Miss Black Los Angeles, and she was such a sweet soul.❤❤ I'm so thankful she is out of that cult. Bless you two for letting her share her story. I didn't know any of this. I got back in contact with her of FB around 2019 I believe. Great message, just incase someone needs to see cults the signs. Ps. I’m following this channel.❤❤❤
Thank you, Arlivia, for shaing your story. It is so enlightening to hear your perspective. I had been gone from the Valley church for a couple of years when you started. I had been in for forty years or so when I finally left. Hearing you talk about having to submit and change your whole belief system was incredible. When I first started attending at 15, I remember having a similar feeling. I was studying The First Principles in my bedroom. Suddenly, I stopped and said aloud, "I am going to have to unlearn everything that I know!" What John Robert Stevens and other leaders did to us was unbelievable and they knew what they were doing. No question. I'm so glad you got out and shared some of your story. Scott and Charity, thank you! This is amazing! ❤
I feel so sorry for Arlivia. She got the worst of it based on her relationship and who he was and his relationship with the upper crust. Lol. Too bad. In such a short time. God bless her.
Do y’all need a 1990 YASP yearbook for your collection? Just came across mine during a move.. my kids saw it and said, “ oh that’s the slave labor summer camp you went to?” 👀
The fact that D. Told everyone and emailed basically submitting when to shit is Horrible. Omg. ! We never submitted everything. It was FTS. We're not infants. She definitely got the shit
My family was part of the Walk when I was a kid (left in ‘83). Did they make music records? I remember a specific record my parents had and I can’t find those songs anywhere. Lyric searches come up empty.
Thank you for another insightful video.
Thanks scott & charity.

Where did you live?
Yes, Rick Holbrook made music records but they weren't widely disseminated. Only within the church/cult.
@@toddmason8652 Indiana, knew some Waukegan people, and spent summers at Shiloh.
I left, I mean "I escaped" that year as well with children as well. Anaheim
@@momf8718 @toddmason8652 I was in Waukegan for a while. I disagreed with just about everyone's ideas.
