John Kee changed the sound of gospel music and opened doors for Kirk Franklin &Hezakiah Walker.. He made gospel music exciting again and it was appealing to us teenagers in the 90s. He need a movie for himself right after the Clark sisters.
Tamara Monroe, John is a wonderful and generous person. I've been been knowing him since the 80's. The others that you named were right there with us back in the Dorsey Convention and the GMWA. We used to have the best of times in the youth department.

Hey y'all gotta get that "Colorblind" album. When it was new back then I bought the CD and cassette tape. It is absolutely amazing!! He got a song on that album that he remixed. It's originally by Stevie Wonder and the song is called "Love's In Need". OH MY GOSH!! That is my favorite song on that "Colorblind" album.

My fondest memory was when I met John P. Kee in 1999 at the Bobby Jones Show! The group I sang with we were Grammy Nominated that year and I was so excited to meet him and his humble heart encouraged us like we were bigger than him... He is a living LEGEND!!! I love John P. Kee!🙏🏽🙏🏽

I know his sister Doretha & she's good friends with my Aunt. They all went to school together in Durham, NC.
We as Christian folk need to deal with a health issues the. Bible says "even as your soul prospers be in good health." It's just a sad situation that we just ignore our health, regardless as to what the medical problem is . Doing my tour in the Gulf War within one month doing that war we was dropping 20 and 30 and 40 lb because we was not sitting at the table consuming everything in front of us fast food and restaurants. I left the US to the war weighing 210 lb came back weighing 175.

joshua morgan Music is the universal language. Only church people are so judgemental about who should and who should not be able to sing praises to God. According to the Bible the only thing required for one to praise God is breath. Let that sink in!
La Locks Stop misusing scripture to win an argument. This has more to do with mixing clean with unclean righteousness with unrighteousness...... This is not simply about praises.

Edward Yah Im not trying to win an arguement about anything, but you need to stop judging. Church folks ALWAYS feel they have some type of monopoly on God when in fact Christ had more issues with religious folks than He did with sinners. Does not scripture say let the wheat and the tare grow together, and God would do the separating? Why then are you judging? You have no idea what God is doing on Kanye's life, it would do you good to be more concerned about your own spiritual walk. Ya'll judge the world harshly, but have no problem sitting under these fake preachers making babies all over and not claiming them, and be on the down low. Be outraged by that. For the contributions this great Man of God made to my life via his music, I watched with immense respect. However, I disagree with his collaborations with these secular artists. The Church has lost all moral authority in large part because of things like these.

The lack of discernment concerning Kanye’s “act” is disconcerting to say the least. The issue is not whether his music has any spiritual value. Gospel songs alone will NOT bring salvation. Faith in God is developed by hearing His WORD. Also, it’s been clear for some time that Kanye suffers from mental illness. So, while he may truly love the Lord, he still needs professional help. Also, he continues to support Trump’s policies which are antithetical to the Word of God insofar as they separate children from parents, mistreat immigrants, further impoverish the poor while making the rich richer, and promote racism. This is another hoodwink on the black community. It’s time to stop being sheep and wake up.
