It's funny, RM is now the book smart one, but I saw a video recently where Namjoon said he got his love of books from Jin. When Jin first joined the dorms, Namjoon noticed Jin was always reading a book so he talked to him about what he was reading and it inspired him to do the same. Now though you'll usually see RM reading a book while Jin naps next to him.
RM said that, BUT he was actually a big reader when little, was a very young writer + poet, b4 pre-teens, who won awards, even on on-line poetry sites. He had a poem published in the local paper at 11/12 yrs old: re: Unification of N. + S.Korea, then he heard hip-hop at 11/12 + writings/poetry became rap lyrics/beats/melodies.
I think Jin re-excited him about reading again, so really grateful to Jin for that (who is smart in his own right). Jimin has always been a big reader/IQ=128/#1 Academics, espec. all the sciences, would wake Tae to go to school, etc. Biggest readers are Jin, Jimin, RM, Suga +JHope💜
It is not funny at all, because it's not the truth. RM has always been a voracious reader , he wanted to become a poet or prose writer . He is the biggest reader in bangtan, he always carries books with himself and many are in his studio. He reads a lot of books and recommends as well. Some army's have made a list of it and discuss those books regularly (on twitter). He even uses books to get inspiration for writing songs .
The incident you are talking about was when Namjoon saw Jin reading a book , it motivated RM to complete reading a book that he stopped reading after like 100 pages or something.
I re-read my comment: it's still funny. It was a lighthearted comment based on a hjmourous congruence of a video and photos of RM and Jin. It's not untrue and it's not meant in any negative way towards either RM or Jin. I know RM is a big reader and wanted to be a writer and poet growing up. That doesn't change the fact there is video of him saying seeing Jin read inspired RM to read followed by several photos of RM reading while Jin is napping next to him.

I knew he wanted to be a poet, didn't know about the prizes at such a young age. I'd love to read his thoughts about reunification. It makes sense he's such a great lyricist. When I saw that clip with Jin I was surprised he wasn't reading much then because he talks a lot about books now. I figured he was so busy writing he didn't have time to read and seeing Jin reading inspired him to make time to take it up again. What i find funny is a fan put together a compilation of photos of Joon reading while Jin is napping next to him. So it's like once he got RM to read again Jin was like "my work here is done. Imma take a nap."

In the hyundai episode, the fact that Jin is the only one who realized that he only needed to solve 6/7 clues to crack the code represents the kind of smart he is.
For me, I think Jin is the genius among all the BTS member. My reason for this because Jin always the one to solve all the quiz faster than other member even faster than RM. That clearly shows how faster his brain works.

Yes, RM is relying his knowledge with what he has read in books and is really smart, we cant deny that while Jin is very good at critical and logical thinking, you can always notice that whenever they paly or do that requires thinking. Jin always aces games with that kind of requirements. They are both good at talking, RM talks with decorations while Jin talks practically and directly.

Actually it's Namjin I always focus on when they dance. Now I know why. Your reference to them as wings made me think of Pegasus and Perseus. Together they were able to level the field with the gods. The other members are so exceptional they're basically gods of dance. Namjin are mortals, but such awesome mortals they can keep up with gods. And for me that's even more compelling and impressive.

The last clip where they needed to hide their item.. rm hides it in the visible place and disguses it as if it always belong there while jin hides in a completely hidden place nowhere to be find. The contrast between the two but still manage it.
It also depends on the item that they're hiding. Jin's item is pretty obvious if he will hide it in visible places that's why he kept it completely hidden, while rm's item doesn't need hiding coz mics are everywhere on the shoot so it's not suspicious at all

Especially in Korean schools there are rankings and if he went to a priv school in Korea the comeptetivness in grades and rankings must've been bigger. U know how Korea is with studying. And i remember he said he got a good ranking before. But he does love using sarcasm to pretend to be dumb to mess with us

Joon is the professional leader, negotiating with the label, resolving conflicts in the group, strategizing their progress, writing the lyrics and being the main spokesperson and translator. Jin is the personal leader, taking care of the other members, comforting and reassuring them when they're homesick, nervous and sad, feeding them and cleaning up after them and driving them to school, setting house rules and teaching them good manners and setting a good example, being cheerful and funny to make his donsaengs relax and be happy. Such a great leadership team!

There was something I saw where Jin said his iq score was 107, which is average and that makes no sense to me. IQ is all about out of the box thinking, and he always shows that in maze rooms and mystery games especially, so he has to be 130 or higher (which would be above average) also the last time Namjoon was tested he was in high school and I definitely think his has raised too, so he should also get retested I bet it’s above 148 now

I would like to know Jin's intelligence rating if RM is 148 IQ. He figures things out logically. The brain is the biggest sexual organ. If you cannot excite the brain, you cannot excite the body. I wonder how many people see RM and Jin in these terms instead of physical beauty and having both.
Uhm.. sorry but the brain isn't a sexual organ.. and a person's IQ changes over time, and on certain conditions/factors, so it may increase or decrease.
