Much harder to sell your singles if you go this route. People rather get the sealed products because they're more affordable. That being said, if you don't care about flipping the rare cards and just purely in it for the collector aspect, should be fine. I just don't recommend opening these and expecting any kind of profit.
The thing about those gold cards are that they still have color, but the alt art gold cards are unique to crown zenith and vstar universe. Who knows if they'll do it again.

They lost a lot of value from the reprints and pull rates, but crown zenith in general will probably be right up there with evolving skies over time, and as it’s cheaper I think that’s a good investment.

I kept an ultra premium collection 151 sealed , I strongly feel like in the long run these will sell for quite a bit so I wouldn’t doubt picking up sealed product would be a good investment. Crown zenith is getting a reprint so it’ll drop in value in my opinion . Logical conclusion with chilling reign , less supply and more demand in the future . Picking up $1 cards from any older set might give you small gains, the grail cards are always a hit or miss and seeing large sums of grail cards being printed per new set makes it a bad investment short term .
I havnt bought much more evolving skies since release, ive been getting lost origins, crown zenith and chinese tag team sets. But i wouldnt be shocked if evolving skies continues to outpreform, even at current prices. Top items seem to have a weird way on taking on a life of there own and a detachment from the contense gets more and more drastic. I cant bring myself to buy it at these prices, but thats the same thing everyone said about team up.

I agree! What other Japanese sets do you think will do well? I keep going between ruler of the black flame because it has three charizards and is very cheap right now and clay burst because of the Iono alt art which is still worth over $1000 in Japanese. I have a few of each box but I feel like I should buy more, clay burst I'm thinking is a better investment but it costs $50 more than ruler of the black flame.

Why do people say they don’t like Arceus that much? Without Arceus there wouldn’t be any thing else. According to arceus’s story he is like the god of the Pokémon universe and he created the Pokémon universe. Therefore Arceus should gain respect and be a loved Pokémon figure. Crown zenith may be the best set of any era. I don't think thats a bold statement. It has such a high number of amazing artworks. It's also a ton of fun to open because the hit rates for at least something like the galarian gallery is high. You can get packs for 4 dollars and if you wait for sales you can get them for 3.33. Evolving skies is overrated and I think we'll see the prices for singles tank over the next few years. The last few years have seen people artificially inflating prices but now that the pandemic hype is dying down we'll see the prices fall. Overall investing in pokemon cards probably isn't the best idea. If we see another dark age for pokemon cards where they don't print so much of a set that will be the time to buy sealed.
if you look at sun and moon era, if you bought every single ETB sealed for msrp it outperformed the s&p 500. feel free to correct me if i’m wrong. i checked that data quite a while ago lol

Outside of evolving skies I agree with your analysis of value down the road, I just don't think it's reliable enough to "invest" in.
I disagree with you on 3 things. 1 5-10 thousand copy’s of a card is nothing. There is 7 billion people on the planet you do the math. 2 That pikachu will never pass that Aerodactyl. 3 That Giratina is ugly. Didn’t like it when it came out still don’t. Just because a card is expensive and hyped dosent make the art better. Love the videos. Keep them up. 😎

I definitely agree about the Gengar TG, one of the best Gengar cards to date IMO
the gold cards in Crown Zenith aren't just gold cards, they have insane art. They absolutely deserve the top spots

I tend to lean more on 151 and VSU. The year end shiny set could be similar to VSU too. :)
