I got to meet Chris Joslin in Vancouver on 2019 Go Skate Day. It was a crazy experience as a filmer because hes always been one of my favourite skaters and I had never got to film any pro skaters before. But on that day I got perfect angles of him fakie flipping the courthouse 10 stair, also nollie back heel'd it and he did a few tricks on art gallery seven which I got close up fisheye angles of. So was pretty much a dream come true for someone like me who loves to film skating being able to film one of my favourite skaters. After the sesh was over I went up and showed him a clip I got of him and he was stoked. Got a picture and autograph as well but it was crazy being able to show Joslin a clip I just filmed of him myself then afterwards could edit it and everything, so sick. Will definitely never forget that
Yo Chris, if you’re reading this, fuck skateboarding man. Your kids need you more, man. You’re not gonna get those days back with your kids. One day, they’ll be all grown up. Spend as much time with your kids as you can, man. Right now !
I met Joslin in the Sydney airport when sls was there 2 months ago he was so amazing w me took the time to talk to me even after comming of. A long flight will never forget that love to Chris ❤
Amazing year for Joslin. Olympics, SLS results, touring, and now this part. He came to my city with Plan B and put on a show at the local this summer -- I chatted with him and he was real down to earth too, what you hear in this interview is exactly what we talked about when we met then -- you can see how much it all means to him with GMA. Not in the 'SOTY' running but definitely should have been 😄
Chris, I hope you can read this one day : Im in Quebec, Canada, I started skating when I was young like you, but we dont have the spots of the momentum to have careers here. Anyway, I saw a video when you talked about your difficult upbringing and how you always went to skateboarding for...refreshing your soul, redemption, calmness, wtv you want to call it. Seeing you now with your beautiful family really made me happy. Everyone can be a great skater, not everyone can be a good person. Thx for being amazing at both...Also I swear I'll be drinking Rockstar instead of Red Bull for as long as they support you!
I remember seeing tiny joslin at el Dorado skatepark when I was in highschool. This is around the time When Terry n Evan started riding for Baker n showed up at the park everyday. It was rough knowing I couldn't hang with those guys cuz they were getting so good so quick but it was also inspirational. Its weird being super proud of joslin n nvr really knowing him. He's the neighborhood hero!!!!!
