@@shaungreer3350 I dont know how you feel about phone clips but you could always clip your phone to a xbox or ps4 controller and play over a emulator. You can get better performance this way too
Cory Tucker I wouldn’t mind doing that, however problem is I’m using an iPhone and emulator support is almost nonexistent for Saturn and Dreamcast.
Problem is, we already have a portable Dreamcast: our Android phone + 15 bucks joypad + emulator and games...
Even the screen is better lol

For N64 which I care less about (I hear it's more spotty than the DC emulation) - but I'd be cool to see how these games work:

My RK 2020 broke within one week of receiving it. Played a number of Dreamcast games that I added to it. Lots of fun, but quality control issues along with the lack of support from the manufacturer will likely cause me not to buy one again.
Alanna Lopez that’s what I plan on doing. Especially since my RK 2020 is nothing more than a paper weight now.
What happened to it, Chris? Hardware or software related failure?
Orpheusftw started having battery issues and then eventually I couldn’t play unless it was plugged up. I played it one day for five minutes and it overheated and bricked.

I may get me one of these....dreamcast actually looks pretty darn good on it.....would be nice having a portable retro handheld like this with all those preloaded games to take along with my switch!

Ordered one from Amazon, it froze and stayed frozen the moment I loaded up a Dreamcast game (Crazy Taxi). It made the worst audio stuttering sound ever (and of course there is no physical wheel or external button to turn down/off the volume). Every time it would boot up after several hours of cooling down, it would either lock up or completely shut down after just a few minutes of play until it just wouldn't turn on at all. It had two red lights on in the back. The thing just feels cheap and is extremely unstable. There are many Amazon reviews and forum posts about it overheating and those two little red lights of death. Somehow every reviewer I've seen seems to get a working unit. It was pretty nice for the couple minutes it worked playing anything below N64 and Dreamcast I will say. First portable like this I bought. Pretty bad experience.
Im not sure if some just dont have those issues but after having used mine for quite a bit the most I could say is it gets a little warm but hasnt crashed or froze on me. Also the one I got for this review was sent by Amazon, so it wasnt hand picked to ensure it was good, was just arranged by that playkaka company. I am hearing plenty who are saying they had issues so maybe I got lucky or maybe just waiting to happen to me.

A lot of reviewer's dont do racing games often but it would be awesome to see Daytona on Dreamcast tried here because many of the mini systems cannot play Dreamcast.

wow your manual is better than the one I got. Mine is just basic functions of the hardware and no color pictures LOL but the unit was preloaded with firmware and working though

Dreamcast is great...but will it run Sega Saturn games. Yes, that sounds like a ridiculous question but too those in the know will definitely understand. Emulating a Dreamcast is very easy by comparison as it has one 32-bit Hitachi SH4 processor and a great GPU for its time. While the Saturn has 8 separate processors to think about while emulating it.
Addendum- The speakers don't sound right. It's way too much treble and I can actually hear the speaker crack.
Pretty cool hand held. May have to snag one.

Always appreciate Goldeneye when N64 is iffy. What would you say is the BEST one if those handhelds right now for about that price point. Im in the market. But can't afford a GPD WIN2 lol.

Pretty Much the RG350p is the go too rn for retro handheld. If you want DC,N64,PSP get a Phone with telescopic controller. Retro I actually modded a NDSXL and 3DSXL and used VC for GBA which is perfect on 3DS and GB and GBC on NDS. Anyways this is pretty ok but the firmware is locked out cause It's a bootleg from Odroid so.
Playkaka OMG funny a$$ name has this in transparent Purple and colored kinda buttons!. OMG! alil pricey at 75$ tho.
Happy I saw this video...would have been very upset with the performance of it with n64 and dreamcast.

Ron, (or anyone else) how does this compare to the Retroflag GPI Case? I know the GPI case with the Pi etc is more expensive but this has the same size screen and has better placement for the d-pad and buttons.

Lol that’s a dumb logic... we have things like smartphones and the switch surpassing this ten fold. Emulation is NOT the reason for the lack of “classic” systems, as they would’ve been made YEARS ago.
DomDiggity emulation is the exact reason more classics have not been produced yet! People aren’t looking to play these games on just a smart phone or even the Switch. The reason why is cost. Let me know the next time you buy a smartphone or a switch retail for less the $100. Plus supply and demand. Companies are spacing out all these Classics to make more money. Show respect because your comment Is dumb logic!

My original (non Plus) GPD XD just "passed away" a few weeks ago, most likely due to the battery. It doesn't even work plugged in to the power outlet. I tried contacting GPD and a few sellers on Ebay and got the same answer: there are no replacement batteries for this model. I'm pretty much left with a paper weight. I live in Portugal. Does anyone have any idea how can I revive this thing?

My oppo f3 plus which i bought 4 yrs ago can run sonics, crazy taxies, dead or alive 2, soul calibur and etc etc in 60fps 6 + inch screen, ips which is way beter looking. Im using redream by the way.
It plays Dreamcast and PSP, that's all what matters.

So everyone knows that the RK2020 is a rip off of the odroid go advanced BE, right? They apparently stole the software and everything... I won't support this handheld, but I will eventually get an odroid go adv when they come back in stock.

@@circa2008 First, neither of these devices run android. These are built on Linux. Second, emulation is not illegal unless the emulators use code built by Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc. (they don't do this and this is why they still exist.) Lastly, it matters because the code that Hardkernal put together was stolen so RK could have the financial gains without the hard work that goes into these.

Redream + Note 10Plus connected with a wired controller or bluetooth controller has put a end to this lol Those who know...know emulators on smartphones are really portable and you can pick and choose what games you want to carry around...so save yourself buying and carrying another device...I'm done...not buying them...emulators are the way to go now.
