cats are cute already linked my tutorial so I am giving you some tips for fighting Armstrong as Sam. - First - don't panic: Armstrong is more agressive here but you can still find an opening to land attacks on him. - Also don't be afraid to taunt him, your dodge is more than enough to deal with his attacks and do quick slashes against him, plus you can finish him quicker that way. - NEVER back-dodge his grab, this will only lead you into being grabbed. Instead dodge INTO him: Sam's dodge has enough I-Frames to prevent him from being grabbed if timed right, plus it will prevent Armstrong from cancelling his attack into another attack, giving you time to land 1-2 light slashes against him before you need to dodge his back hand. - Side Dodging his grab will also cause Armstrong to cancel the grab and attack you again immediately. - Armstrong will not cancel his recovery animation if you are close enough to him after any other attack, allowing you to taunt him or getting some damage in. - Dealing huge damage (typically 1 charge attack + multiple light attacks or 2 charges attacks) in a relative short time will put Armstrong in a staggered state, in which you can do another Charge Attack against him. After that he cannot be staggered again for a set time (I don't know for how long, but you can stagger him once in both phases). - Never attack him while in Mid-Air: he will instantly grab you and throw you around. - Side dodge whenever Armstrong dashes towards you just in case: You never know when he is going for that high speed kick. - if you get behind Armstrong after dodging his attack, he will use a back hand attack and one of the four big attacks most of the time. These are the four big attacks, Armstrong will telegraph those early before executing: 1. Golden/yellow tornado around Armstrong -> he is going to pull up a Flamewall, that will force you into a smaller Arena against Armstrong for a while. 2. His Hand is glowing yellow -> Armstrong is going to use a Power Geyser like attack that will track you, Armstrong often does this attack twice in a row. 3. The ground is cracking up beneath Armstrong -> Armstrong is going to punch the ground and creates fissures that will explode after a short time. 4. A red warning area appears around Armstrong on the ground -> Armstrong will explode around him in that area. Good timings when to use charge attacks are: - After dodging his Power Geyers: 1. Dodge -> 2. Charging Slash - After dodging his Flamewall: For that you need tobe right up into his face, side dodge as soon as the punches the ground and then Charging Slash. - As soon as he the ground is cracking up beneath Armstrong. You may be able to land 2 charge attacks if your are fast enough. - When Armstrong is going explode around him. - When Armstrong is in a staggered state. Fun tidbits: - The first 2 QTE's are fake and don't need any button presses. - The third QTE when Armstrong is throwing you against the Helicopter is real, so be ready to press that button. - The final QTE is also fake. You'll either have to play through Raiden's story first or punch in the Konami Code on the title screen (Raiden will say "Metal Gear Rising Revengeance" if input correctly) to play the DLC's. Select Story on the main menu and there you should see New Game (Jetstream) and New Game (Blade Wolf).
@@risingatlas2722 then I don't know what's causing your problem, sry. I know that the DLC's are bundled with the PC version but the consoles need to buy the DLC campaigns separately.
