Stoked I found this video it’s great! Keep them coming now the season is back upon us. When you catch them at night then cook the next day, what is the best way to store them over night before you cook them? And would you ever just freeze them green to use at a later time?
Glad you liked it man! I personally just put them in a container in the fridge over night or for a couple days before cooking, don’t freeze them raw unless you plan on using them as bait because they’ll go mushy when defrosted, cook them first then freeze 🤙🏼
I think around January to early Feb is best but I reckon it’d be worth a look in the next few weeks for sure, as the season stretches out the prawns get bigger but generally fewer as they’ve been hammered by then
Black leg all of them FFS - catch them and ice them instantly. How do you know when a prawn is cooked: The meet will separate from the shell (just a little) - if you have cooked to much - you will stew them and they will become a flowery tasting prawn. Once cooked, put them into a cold water Icey water salty Brian. Take it from a Pro that has cooked thousand up tons of prawns.

I take it you aren’t a fan of these type of prawns 😂 I’ll give it a go next time mate, cheers 🍻
These fellas need to spend some time with the pros and learn how to cook and cool prawns LOL
Yeah I’m in no way an expert, got the job done though 😂
Hi is it too late now to go catch some prawns?
Hey Tiffany, pretty sure they’re only a summer thing. But it can’t hurt to have a look!
