The Gandhi Sagar Dam is one of the four major dams built on India's Chambal River. The dam is located in the Mandsaur, districts of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a masonry gravity dam, standing 62.17 metres (204.0 ft) high, with a gross storage capacity of 7.322 billion cubic metres from a catchment area of 22,584 km2 (8,720 sq mi). The dam's foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 7 March 1954,and construction of the main dam was done by leading contractor Dwarka Das Agrawal & Associates and was completed in 1960. Additional dam structures were completed downstream in the 1970s.
The dam sports a 115-MW hydroelectric power station at its toe, with five 23-MW generating units each providing a total energy generation of about 564 GWh. The water released after power generation is used for the irrigation of 427,000 hectares (1,060,000 acres) by the Kota Barrage, which is located 104 kilometres (65 mi) downstream of the dam, near the city of Kota in the state of Rajasthan.

गांधी सागर बांध भारत की चंबल नदी पर बने चार प्रमुख बांधों में से एक है। यह बांध मध्य प्रदेश राज्य के मंदसौर जिले में स्थित है। यह एक चिनाई वाला गुरुत्वाकर्षण बांध है, जो 62.17 मीटर (204.0 फीट) ऊंचा है, 22,584 किमी2 (8,720 वर्ग मील) के जलग्रहण क्षेत्र से 7.322 अरब घन मीटर की सकल भंडारण क्षमता के साथ। बांध की आधारशिला 7 मार्च 1954 को भारत के प्रधान मंत्री पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू द्वारा रखी गई थी, और मुख्य बांध का निर्माण प्रमुख ठेकेदार द्वारका दास अग्रवाल एंड एसोसिएट्स द्वारा किया गया था और 1960 में पूरा हुआ था। अतिरिक्त बांध संरचनाएं नीचे की ओर पूरी की गईं 1970 के दशक में।
