    Good job on your slab! I tried using a demo saw but it was hard to keep the 1" depth consistent so went and got a diablo 6" blade for my rear handle circular saw. I put masking and duct tape on the bottom of the guard to protect it and it worked pretty fast.

      Never thought about using a skill saw for that, nice thinking!

    We know those lines look better in the video then they do in person. Few people can cut them straight without laying a board down to follow.

    Is there a way to fix an even line?

    A couple of days since pouring? I thought you were supposed to cut it within hours.

      To my understanding you can cut green concrete anytime after it sets up. But if you wait to long it might spider crack before you cut the joints. My original intention was to cut it the next day but that didn't happen.

      @@amidwestfamily112 I prefer your method, but I was under the impression that you could not wait that long.

    Why not put the joint in when pour the concrete?

    • @amidwestfamily112
      @amidwestfamily112  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is another option you can do, I am okay with the cut joints instead of the tooled joints just a preference thing. Thanks for watching!

    Did you see any cracks formed since it was done?

    • @amidwestfamily112
      @amidwestfamily112  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has cracked down one of the joints that I have noticed. But there has been no visible cracking on the top.

      It should crack in your saw cuts that's why they're put there

    Dislike, didn’t show him cutting the end by the wall.
