  • "Go West, Young Man" with Warren William, Randolph Scott. This remarkable car (now in the Nethercutt Museum) belonged to Constance Bennett, who rented it out. The 1930 car was restyled in 1935.

The Nethercut Museum is an absolute "must see". Fantastic cars and and vintage travel trailers!

Constance Bennett was one smart cookie - she started her own cosmetics company before she knew would be the day when the studios would quit calling - for her to rent out that wonderful Rolls is typical.

Mae's romantic number in the film, "I Was Saying To The Moon," which she sings to Randolph Scott, is sweet.

Great old Phantom II with, if I'm correct, coachwork by Franay Of Paris. I believe the car still exists in a private collection.

Well. Mae's charcter says in the film she paid $20,000. This is a customized Rolls Royce Brewster Towncar 1930.
It exists and is in a museum. A 1928 Rolls Brewster priced at auction at $1.300,000 in 2010. Given its history (it was owned by Constance Bennet) and this film appearance it would be today worth nearer $2 million.
