Al you are the GOAT. I went to a resteraunt in Dartford not far from me that sold a Sri Lankan chicken tikka masala. It was so nice. I normally have normal tikka masala but ask for it madras hot. The Sri lankan one was madras hot but had a slightly different taste i think. Al do you know what makes it different from a madras hot chicken tikka masala? Or is that exactly what it is? I know i should have asked at the time. Thanks Pal. Also, i know ive asked before but is there any news on an Als recipe book? Thanks
Love your channel ❤ It’s not a quick one, but can you try the chicken ruby out of the dish-oom book?🙏 It’s a 2 stage and I’d love to see your method and hear your opinion of the recipe. For me, best thing I’ve ever cooked 🎉 Cheers 🍻🔥
Friday night is curry night, and I happened across this just in time. I followed the recipient precisely, and can confirm that it is absolutely sensational. Thank you so much Al for sharing this with us. Superstar.
Hey Al, I'm having a curry 'moment' just watching this - going to make this on the weekend it looks so good (definitely would have been more Titanic 'sunk' if I'd been in the kitchen!) Re: new cooking ideas, I'd love to see you do a range of BIR/authentic side dishes... what do you think?
Chicken tikka on the BBQ yesterday then curry for the evening. Didn't think you could convert a die hard base fan but you did. Titanic is our local brewery, Plum porter grand reserve is a stronger version and a lovely drink too. They also do a cherry porter. Captain Smith was from Stoke hence the name Titanic.
congrats on the 100K+ subs, my local Indian Restaurant Taj Mahal in Prestwick, does a dish called Chicken Tikka Komal Pathia (it might be the same as Pathia it's might be called Komal Pathia from the region of India the owner came from) i have it with a nan bread either plain or garlic, it's a creamy fruity sauce
Hi Al! As a Dutch guy living in Norway I would love to see variations of a vindaloo to spice things up. How would you think reindeer meat would do in a vindaloo, or any curry for that matter? Cheers from Bergen.
Def going to try this. Huge fan of the bir one with the coconut milk powder, whole family love it. Something tells me this one has it's work cut out to beat the bir one but I'll give it a go. Interesting using the chicken breast in big pieces. I've just about given up on Asda chicken breast - can be really chewy. I tend to use thigh fillets only these days.
Can’t wait to try, did you leave the coconut milk powder out in the end? On your shopping list it said 6 TBSP coconut milk powder but I can’t see it mentioned in the ingredients list or recipe video.
Would love to see a recipe (30 mins or not) for a Nilgiri. Quite a rare find on menus but would really like to know how to do it at home. Keep up the great work, Al!
would this taste ok with lamb tikka instead? just made a batch but know sometimes they say to change the spices etc for lamb in the dish instead of chicken
Could you show use some curry’s using your spice blends, as it’s obvious it replaces you having to pick each individual spice, but looking at the website it doesn’t say what else you need. I know this seems a bit trivial and it may have the recipe on the bag when you get it but as it’s another of your masterpieces I think you could show case them more, it may improve sales. Love what you do.
Al, I hope you’re doing well. I love your channel. The knowledge you shared through your videos has allowed me to elevate my curries at home. You’ve introduced me to curries and spices I’ve never heard of. As a result, I and my family have had many adventurous curry nights at home. Thanks so much and may God bless you in whatever you’re up to these days.
Cheers Al. Great tikka madras recipe. Best we've had. And we're getting on a bit and have tried curry's up and down the country. Being northern we have the best Curry houses of course:) :). Not many of our northerners use food colouring, We like to look after ourselves. 😊
Hi Al, I have been making your chicken tikka masala now for some time and have to say that you make me look good with the results that I get. I have waited patiently for this recipe to come out and now I can't wait to give it a go, there are some obvious differences, coconut milk and ground almonds. As the standard recipe uses base gravy and coconut milk powder ? is there a difference in flavours. I know I will get to find out when I make it. 😃 tonight. Thanks for a great channel, you deserve the following you have. Sorry, my name is Richard just using the wife's account. 😁
@@AlsKitchen Thank you for your reply Al, no matter which curry I have made the results are amazing thanks to your easy-to-follow instructions. your channel is awesome and you deserve the accolade youtube has awarded you keep it up.
Hey Al I been watching your videos for years, since I left the UK I can’t get a decent curry in Australia that’s how I found you, I still make batches of base gravy, for me it’s a game changer when making a BIR curry, cheers and congrats on the 100k subs.
Salivating and looks fantastic. And good to hear your love of the Titanic. Constructed in my hometown of Belfast! You'll have to try Titanic Distillery whiskey made in what is the Pump House for the Titanic ship in Belfast. Anothe stonking curry Al!
Made it last night, changed the coconut milk to Pataks coconut cream and used 2 packets, also used Tesco lactose free greek yogurt. So I had a dairy free dish. Best tikka I have ever tasted, also done your chicken bhuna dish. Next one I will try is chicken tikka with a bhuna sauce. your tsp measures are they level or heaped. Great work Al
Go on BIG AL!! Adding this to my already great culinary skills. Little do my friends know that i follow your recipes. They're still not sick of my (i mean your) 30 min chicken karahi recipe..😂. 👊🏾💯Big Al. Im gonna save this one for my special friend whos visiting soon. I will, of course, be doing a test run beforehand.
I have been watching you and Latifs for a couple of years, I have cooked hundreds of curries with great success. I recently went out for a curry and was very disappointed because I knew I could do better. Thanks for you content Al, my local curry houses have suffered.
Hi Al, Just cooked your Chiken Tikka Masala for the first time and I have to say my Wife and I were blown away, absolutely the best Tikka Masala I hav ever tasted, Thank you Al. PS Had eaten it all befor e remembering to take pics but certainly will next time as we will be having this on a regular bacis!
Hi Al. I've been watching your videos for a few months and finally had a go at this today. OMG the Family loved it. I loved cooking it. I decided to make this fairly last minute so the Chicken Tikka only marinated for 3 hours but Wow. Delicious. Can't wait to make for Family Curries. Thanks Al.
Really great video, thanks. As far as the Tikka phase goes, would like to know why you add the Kasuri Methi after the spices, rather than preparing the spice-mix with it already in ?
Hey Al, wonder if you can help me find a curry of yours I cooked a bit ago. All I can remember is that it had English mustard in it, it was one of your older vids I think, maybe pre new hair lol, if you can help me I'd be much appreciative, as would the missus because she loved it! Cheers mate!
Hi Al! I have the same burner as you. Do you find it hard to turn the heat down on it? When I turn the switches to create a lower temperature, the flames tend to go out. Especially when its windy. I end up having to have it on nearly full blast.
Hi Al, bought your Kahari spice blend. Sorry to be so thick but is the spice blend all i need for the curry in the way of spices or do i need to add any extra spices.
Amazing, surprised how good it was since I’m converted to BIR. I blend my onions in a little of the onion liquid so didn’t need to add so much water so it’s quite liquified and doesn’t look as dry as yours at any stage! Added two TBSP of coconut milk powder to also help thicken and add the nice flavour!
I just did this after finding I was out of the gravy. I used the standard (not this version) Tikka and BIR gravy one is much better. I hate to say it cos everything else I've cooked from Al's channel has been amazing, but it wasn't great. Just means I need to do another gravy batch ASAP!
This is a beauty. Never thought in a million years I would be able to make a BIR style Tikka Masala but made it last night and nailed it. Thanks Al. Can I (my wife) suggest a 30 minute korma next? She would be over the moon.
Al, this is the first time I’ve attempted one of your curry’s and it’s phenomenal!! You absolute legend, I’m never getting a takeaway again! Next up is your Dhansak 👍🏻👍🏻🔥
great and detailed recipe, thx :) btw when I am doing butter chicken blended onion don't bring the best caramelized taste of the onions like when is finely chopped and cooked more slowly, at least in my tests the taste was different, but indeed is a easier process with the blending
Enjoy the video, Hope you make the curry. Pleas elike and subscribe to the channel. Thanks
Brilliant mate, I'm vegan and love making your curries. Good work brother. Making this on tomorrow

Really appreciate the layout of the ingredients, the almonds will really give it a rich texture

You are drunk when you made that complete insult to the dish.
Looks great as usual, can't wait to give it a try 😊Can you do a Garlic Chilli Chicken next time please.
Nice one, Al.
How about (next) a focus on sides & sundries (that could even be scaled-up, to become mains)?
Dhansak? Love to see if you can manage a 30min version of that! Great work as always!
I was already sniffing up for the aroma when the spices went in. Nice one! Best, Rik
Another mouth watering curry. Thank goodness I’ve got an Al’s chicken pathia ready for Saturday. Yes, happy to share it with her indoors 🤣.
Brilliant video Al will definitely be making this a dhansak would be excellent next
Friday night is curry night, and I happened across this just in time. I followed the recipient precisely, and can confirm that it is absolutely sensational. Thank you so much Al for sharing this with us. Superstar.
Wonderful!
Can I substitute the coconut milk for coconut powder I prefer the texture..hoe much would you recommend in place of the milk
I’d love to see you make a shatkora chicken! It has interesting ingredients such as Indian lemon
This is fantastic Al has my family just love this curry and now I don’t have to make them one by one ❤
Quality again Al, no more need be said ....👌🏻

Top job! Although i will say im in the southwest and all our BIR places do red too, maybe its a london thing?
Awesome dish Chef......both of them!
my moms favourite curry is a classic Chicken Bhuna would love a recipe from you so I can cook my mom one at home
Wow mate! Will be trying this one! Thankyou!
Lovely looking curry . How well would your curry freeze down for bath cooking for easy mid week curry’s ?
How about a 30 minute Dhansak. Loving these, thanks Al 😊
Can’t wait to try, did you leave the coconut milk powder out in the end? On your shopping list it said 6 TBSP coconut milk powder but I can’t see it mentioned in the ingredients list or recipe video.
Yes, I rewrote the recipe
@@AlsKitchen ahh ok then makes sense now haha. .
My boy will like this! I'm weening him onto curry!!! Dhansak next please Al!
Al I’m in the south and the red one is the one for me. Thanks for the recipe. Would love to see a dahl and also lamb kofte kebab please
Would love to see a recipe (30 mins or not) for a Nilgiri. Quite a rare find on menus but would really like to know how to do it at home.

Love it Al. Assume a lamb tikka follows a similar prep process?
Pretty much!
would this taste ok with lamb tikka instead? just made a batch but know sometimes they say to change the spices etc for lamb in the dish instead of chicken

Great video as always Al, the tikka masala looked amazing.
I'd love to see a Jalfrezi done in this 'hybrid' style.

Absolutely Amazing Chicken Tikka Masala The Red One Is my go to. How About a 30 Minute Chicken Korma Next Another Popular One
Salivating....that's awesome 👌

Good recipe. I try
Hello. What do you think the Tandoori Masala powder adds??
Al! Looks delicious and I'm sure it tastes even better! Keep up the good work! 🙂😋
Thank you 😋

I made this today. . .just wow !! It tasted amazing. Thanks Al 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
My chicken is marinading as I watch, can’t wait to make this later. 😊
Al love your channel, can you do a 30 minute Butter Chicken dish. Thank you
Just made this. It’s a good one. Would like to see a chicken saag at some point.

Hi Al
Love your recipes. I would love to see a chicken chettinad. Cheers
Great Al. How about a lentil and pulse series that can be used for vegetarians and meat eaters.
You have a beautiful garden
Al don't ever stop doing what you do i really enjoy your videos

Any chance you can do 30min butter chicken

Just discovered your channel and I'm lovin' it! But if I want to make just one curry, do I still need to prepare a base gravy? Cheers Al!

Hey Al, what's your preferred oil? Sunflower, vegetable, rapeseed or something else?

Most of the tomato purée I buy these days states double concentrate on the tube. Is this ok or should I be halving the quantities. Thanks. Mike
Love your 30 minute recipes , a 30 minute Vindaloo would be awesome, I prefer spicy curry.

Great video al..what about a 30 minute vindaloo next
Hi Al, can you freeze the onion when blended ? x
yes, also try roasting the onions (it'll turn brown but they taste out of this world), this gives a real nice deeper flavour.

Love the extra info to this, cheers Al 👍🏻
