    No locking pliers/molegrips. Extra pair of hands missing from your bag and the number of times when molegrips have got me out of trouble when everything else slipped.
    Very instructive video.

    Nice set up , I'm no spring chicken any more so I've split my tools into 3 bags for easier carrying, service / main / odds and sods so a bit similar to your set up which works fine for me , I've given up doing big installs these days and just concentrate on service and repair work and to be honest I pre fare doing the different varieties of work that this brings in , you've got a great channel here and I really enjoy watching.....
    Cheers......👍

      yensabi Have to say that’s “ Made my day “ 😁 Our mindsets are similar .. installs very few just the people that really want or need me to do it. Tennis elbow, shoulder, knees.. they all ache and that’s without all the years of Breathing in God Only knows what. The channel well I get on with complete strangers better than my own family 😂🤣 it also helps me on my communication skills and use of Words.. I’m Dyslexic so work in progress. Thanks again much appreciated 👍

    Similar set up to myself. I've recently made a third bag up tho - a soldering bag, with flux, lamp, solder, heat mat etc. Does a few things. Makes my install bag a hell of a lot lighter and also keeps the flux juice in its own place instead of leaving its stinking aroma and mess all over my main bag.

    I have most of the hand tools you mentioned. I agree with your review totally. Especially the chrome knipex. I have both sizes are when your trying to work quickly they can be a faff. I would recommend the 15mm to 22nm double open ended ring spanner. Saw it on Skill builder channel it works a treat when fitting compression valves etc. would appreciate some more info on your specific boiler tools you have developed over the years and where you use them

      The Bearded Heating Co° Glad you like them.. Cameras ! Don’t get me started.. they are not designed to work in the environments plumbers lurk ! Dark .. wet.. dusty etc. Last count 6/7 different ones...chest mount, tripod, crane, boom..u name it I’ve given it a go ! Looking at changing unit Have a go pro 7 but it’s soo unreliable can’t tell you.. all the you-tubers bang on abt it ! Honestly rubbish. My phones better ! Just can’t work one handed ! Anyway 5 hours of editing for me to release a video tmrw ! Thanks for watching.

      Dr Pipe
      I totally get it mate... I’m a West London Heating Engineer living and working in Amsterdam, doing pretty much the same as you and I really appreciate the fact we are very similar with our work ethics and not just keep recommending a new boiler when all most need is an in-depth service!
      Hence why I asked about which camera u use as I want to vlog my days in Amsterdam as The Bearded Plumber°
      Looking forward to more of ur great content mate!!!

    • @drpipe
      @drpipe  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Bearded Heating Co° Sorry long days ! Main camera is Go pro 7 not happy with it tho.. battery life 40 mins.. I record 6 hours some days.. use an external battery supply.. but the Audio then is 1.5 secs out of sync ! No bother you say.. it is with 200 clips a day ! Other is a static on a boom Nikon D750 with external mics etc. Have to be Honest it’s a Hell of a lot of work .. great if you can just turn up and go but I spend Hours Editing this stuff so I don’t bore you guys 😲 too many youtubers make films that are not edited.. I don’t want to watch 30 mins of unscrewing case covers. I may go to a Sony x3000r old now but heard it’s better than go pro. Hope that helps. Love Amsterdam.. check The super club out v cool if it’s still there.

Clear mind and tidy best policy. Work smart and spend where needed. 1st work..2.. van... 3 tools.. stock... repeat repeat.. 7 days... then 6 days a week then when ur lucky and built a business 10 years about... then 5 days... put the work in I promise the other stuff comes 👍 appreciate support 👍

    You didn't seem to be impressed with the 2 different sized Knipex plier/wrenches after using them for just a few months. The adjustment looked fiddly and getting it tight left the handles sometimes open too much. Has your opinion changed - yes or no/why? I've just ordered a pair of the 250mm length Knipex on the basis of rave reviews and thought the smooth parallel operated jaws and clamping strength would replace my worm screw wrench.

      The only thing I've done of late. I've bought some little Technic or similar bum bags.
      No matter what, you don't need everything but the kitchen sink. So I've split certain tools down into three smaller bags. Works for me. Be warned. Don't put all your eggs in one basket and that shit bag breaks into the van. It's hard to take. Happened to me 5 times. Last time over 10 years ago at a cost of 4k.
