Cuba was my favorite segment of the entire film. The chemistry between Ana's character and Bond was fantastic, totally brought back that classic suave Bond vibe. Great lines, great action! So sad that they won't be getting that reunion.

apparently Ana de Armas was brought in very late during pre-production due to Daniel Craig's recommendation, as he enjoyed working with her on Knives Out To give her a bigger part in the movie would have required them to basically rewrite the ENTIRE movie and they couldn't do that
I think personality-wise this is just my favourite Bond girl ever. So unique and funny I was not expecting her to be so goddamn hilarious after only having seen her in Blade Runner. Like I immediately started missing her as soon as her scenes were over.

You need to watch her in knives out. She was brilliant there! And well, Daniel Craig was in it too. So this is their 2nd film together. Daniel Craig, away from his Bond character, did a strong Texan accent and was incredible. And Ana de Armas acting is worthy to be taken seriously as actress. Go watch it. Knives out. Amazing actress. Paloma instantly became one of my favorite characters ever in a Bond movie. She felt real, and I think everyone can relate to her (male or female), being new at a workplace or doing something for the first time. Ana de Armas played it off beautifully. When she says her last line to Bond: ”Next time, stay longer” I felt like I don’t want to leave this place. I want to come back REAL SOON to get more out of this fantastic character 😅
She really needs her own movie. I’m just a classic dude who loves seeing bond just killing everyone so I feel like it should mean a lot coming from me saying that I’m dying to see a certain female lead in an action role. And it’s not just because Ana de armas crushed her role, her character was just so damn real and written to be so cool.

I thought Ana's scenes were out of place in the film but delightfully so. It was like she was the protagonist of her own movie that spliced into the bond film and then diverted else where, wished we could follow up with that path. The Paloma character was really interesting also, it brought a certain uniqueness to characters you find in a Bond film, typically everyone is sophisticated, experienced, mature, etc but Paloma was almost entirely the opposite and brought a very youthful, fun, energetic side to her that literally made her the break out character of the film. I did not expect Ana to pull this off so well; kudos!! :)

3:00 onwards, what Ana says is pretty much the same as every other actress since the 2000s has said about their Bond girl being unlike anything else we’ve seen in a Bond film before. There seems to be a misconception about Bond girls/women amongst a lot of actresses that they are always waiting for Bond to rescue them, which is not always true as starting from the 60s Bond girls have always been strong and there have been many who can look after themselves and are as capable as Bond in action.
How about a sequel where Paloma appears out of nowhere to save James right before the missiles hit and she brings him to a deserted island that only she and Felix knew of which is run by a secretive group of multi national scientists preparing to thwart off a global assassination plot such as Safin's nanobots then, together with the best of technology, treat James till he recovers from his fatal gunshot wounds and proceed to extract all the nanobots out from his system. During which, James' request will be to not notify anyone of his survival until the nanobots within have been eradicated for concern of the safety for Madeleine and Mathilde as well as any leaked news to the outside world of this scientific project which could bring about the return of more bad guys or criminal organizations ( say, like, maybe, SMERSH/SPECTRE reincarnated ? ) The sequel could even be titled "Time to be reborn" with Daniel re-appearing for a truly appreciated send-off and open a path to his replacement with a super agent like, why not, Paloma ? If this storyline goes up the ladder all the way to Barbara B. and Michael G.W. it would indeed be exhilarating to this "writer". ☺

3:00 onwards, what Ana says is pretty much the same as every other actress since the 2000s has said about their Bond girl being unlike anything else we’ve seen in a Bond film before. There seems to be a misconception about Bond girls/women amongst a lot of actresses that they are always waiting for Bond to rescue them, which is not always true as starting from the 60s Bond girls have always been strong and there have been many who can look after themselves and are as capable as Bond in action.
How about a sequel where Paloma appears out of nowhere to save James right before the missiles hit and she brings him to a deserted island that only she and Felix knew of which is run by a secretive group of multi national scientists preparing to thwart off a global assassination plot such as Safin's nanobots then, together with the best of technology, treat James till he recovers from his fatal gunshot wounds and proceed to extract all the nanobots out from his system. During which, James' request will be to not notify anyone of his survival until the nanobots within have been eradicated for concern of the safety for Madeleine and Mathilde as well as any leaked news to the outside world of this scientific project which could bring about the return of more bad guys or criminal organizations ( say, like, maybe, SMERSH/SPECTRE reincarnated ? )
The sequel could even be titled "Time to be reborn" with Daniel re-appearing for a truly appreciated send-off and open a path to his replacement with a super agent like, why not, Paloma ?
If this storyline goes up the ladder all the way to Barbara B. and Michael G.W. it would indeed be exhilarating to this "writer". ☺

Paloma are more human and alive than previous bondgirls ever have been.
I hope we will see more of Ana de Armas as Paloma in the future.
