Battle for the Reichstag (Sarissa/Italeri) for Bolt Action Update III

Update number 3 in the construction of Sarissa's Reichstag MDF kit from the Italeri 1/72 Battle for the Reichstag set. In this video, I show you my progress in the project with the construction phase completed. I also give my insights on putting this beast of a kit together. Enjoy.

It's been a fun thing to build too. I think it's a good "comeback to" project where you can spend a full day on it once every couple of weeks.

Loving it! love the green you chose for the roof too, and any overspray once weathering is added will look like mossy buildup in the corners I'm sure. I love the lintel vignette you built ( hmmm...i forget what the correct terminology is !) great job! Im sure I have seen a commercially available one somewhere i just cant remember where...but yours is brilliant ! You still have me second guessing my choice around not buying this set!! Regards, Dan

Cheers, Dan. It's been a fun project, but to be honest there is still a lot of work to be done on it. Hopefully this winter I can get through most of it and then get it on the table by Spring. When I saw the kit, all I could think of was the GI JOE aircraft carrier from 1984(?) and how badass it was. I knew this was the USS Flagg of WW2 wargaming and had to get it. I'm not a big fan of MDF, and I'm running out of space daily, but I just had to have it. If you see one out there, grab it for yourself.

No update, but I have been working on it. The next video I put up after the Hobby Show video will be the completed building. We are planning on doing an assault on the Reichstag game in the first week of June. Ironing out the scenario and lists and such now.

Thanks for checking the video out. Italeri and Sarrisa did it up as one of Italeri's 1/72 diorama in a box things so it's not really for wargaming. But I saw it and knew I had to have it. It had GIJoe Aircraft carrier vibes for me. lol
