Seriously. So many races are filmed from the front or far away. It makes them appear so much slower than they're actually going., which is ridiculously fast

I love watching that dude run! Proud to say a month or so back sat in a barber shop in my hometown of Flagstaff AZ with Ed and didn't recognize him at first. That's as close as I will ever be to him as we were sitting not running :-)

Agreed. U-turns in an elite race is ridiculous. I ran such a race in high school. It was a 2-mile cross-country race. We literally had to run around a pole at the 1-mile mark. A lot of runners grabbed the pole and boomeranged themselves around it. I tightened up after the turn, and couldn't recover my stride. I was in 2nd place, and dropped to 6th. I was bummed and pissed.

And Katelyn Tuohy can run this in 15:37. I wish she were apart of this race. It would've been exciting to see a high schooler give these gals a good race!
Lokedi's PR is 15:15. Tuohy's 15:37 on a climate controlled, flat indoor track doesn't translate to a road mile with wind, hills, and pin-point turns. She'd struggle to break 16 on this course.
@@surunner455 but, this race is on a paved course. Don't you think Tuohy could still maintain that pb on this course? Her time on a dirt trail for a 5k is 16:21. That makes sense for sure. So I'm still leaning towards my thought that Tuohy would give these older gals a real run for their money on this paved course. 😊
