Nothing pops up when I choose Lens Convex. Am I doing something wrong?

If your background is black and the solid layer that you've applied particles to is black as well, they wont show
Try changing solid's color by putting a Fill effect on it

Alright, where do you get your pngs? I can't find a good one without a background or anything and I don't know how to remove the backgrounds.

You can search for pixel heart png, pixel peach png, pixel pokeball png on google images, download them by right clicking and then Save Image As. or either go to their sites and save using download buttons!
