She'd be 61 in about 3 weeks - Oct 5. Bums me out she still not around. She and Laura could have had some epic adventures in their own rights. I loved the character of Amy. No one did gossip like her character!
She was a beautiful girl that I remember seeing from time to time on shows like “Three’s Company” way back in the day. I just happened to look her name up the other day and I saw that she’d been dead for ten years. Her beauty always brightened up every scene that I saw her in!
I miss her always loved her character she was never a major character in terms of story but her longevity and just her nature made her bigger then many......I'm glad Lucy remembered her at the nurses ball
I'll always remember her as Laura's best friend and beautiful maid of honor. She was funny and always brightened my day when I watched her on GH as that perky gossipy and funny nurse Amy Vining. Watching the 50th anniversary marathon and seeing her so beautiful and healthy at Luke and Laura's wedding made me cry. How I wish she stayed that way forever. She will always be like that in my heart. Rest in heavenly peace Shell.
I heard about Shell's passing some time ago. Every time I see epiphany on the show , I think of Shell/ AMY not sure why. Shell was terrific , and never forgotten, God bless her
Thank you so much for making this video...I loved Amy and when she left the show there has never been any other nurse quite like her - she was unique, funny, quirky, nosey, and let's not forget the biggest gossiper Lol. I really do hope GH does something to remember her but I am not holding my breath.
I hear they did do a tribute to her on the show at the time of her death. Looking for it now. Just bought the 50th yr of GH mag., and found out. Since I no longer watch Soap's, but this having been my favorite, along side DOOL, I had watched both since approx. 1966, (Thanks Mom for hogging the TV set!) and grew to love both shows. I continued to keep up with them until the very late 1990's. So this was a sad surprise. Such a fun, bursting beauty of an actress. Very missed.
I'm crying, how did the story say goodbye... it's really heartbreaking 💔 😢.. idk it's like Jeanie passing 😔...I'm sure this was so hard because she was just really loved from everyone on set .
victoria grant ...it was mentioned at one of the Nurse's Balls a few years ago a huge pic of Amy and Jesse Brewer were shown as Lucy paid tribute to them
+Vanessa Cummings GH just "replaced" Amy. No sure how well this is going to be received. Shell was so loved and I think it's irresponsible of them to call this new nurse Amy. I think......but we should give this new Amy a chance.
Just read a magazine's pic tribute for 2008 so I googled this. Wow... look at that soul in her eyes I never watched soaps, but when I channel surfed I'd stop and watch those mesmerizing eyes. I'm sure she was an even more beautiful human being. One can just see it in her- must be a very tough loss
I heard her kidneys got ruined from statins like Crestor and Liptor but because she worked at General Hospital they hushed it up. Can anyone confirm what damaged her kidneys?

How sad - Just last month I googled Shell Kepler because I still watch GH and wondered what became of this lovely actress. May she rest in peace.
Shell was a good friend of mine and thank you for making this video xoxo SVJ

Great vid!! She will be missed!!
Nice Tribute.
Bless you Amy (Shell)
sad I had no idea
I wonder if GH made any reference to Shell's passing or why Amy wasn't there anymore. I'll have to check clips from 08

I dont remember it being in any storyline. That was Laura sister.
It would be nice. But its been such a long time now. Sure do miss Amy
GH DECIDED TO KILL AMY OFF , OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE COULD PLAY THIS CHARACTER, SHELL WAS ONE OF A KIND,
+Vanessa Cummings GH just "replaced" Amy. No sure how well this is going to be received. Shell was so loved and I think it's irresponsible of them to call this new nurse Amy. I think......but we should give this new Amy a chance.
She was not killed off by GH...she died in real life and simply was not recast
@@mikemercado5223 . A wise decision.
@@mikemercado5223 Laura did mention that Amy died awhile ago.
@@rockyracoon3233 Wrong. Amy was killed off. However, we never found out what from.
I had no idea she passed away till now..Jacklyn Zeman passed away on May 10 2023 May both RIP
I loved Amy!!!!

A shame that (when she was killed off) we never found out what Amy died of.
she wasnt even 50 and she had kidney failure thats very rare
I heard her kidneys got ruined from statins like Crestor and Liptor but because she worked at General Hospital they hushed it up. Can anyone confirm what damaged her kidneys?
what did she die off
Kidney failure
she probably didnt take physicals, if she had and she had kidney disease she could of taken medication to control it
why didnt she get a kidney transplant?
