Just an FYI - all negative comments about churches will be deleted. This video was only meant to show you my decorations and give you some decorating tips. Yes, my church hired me (as a business) to decorate for Christmas. Yes, I was compensated for my work (not sure why I have to explain that). Yes, I chose to decorate by myself. That has nothing to do with the church members or any committee at the church. My church is extremely generous and supportive. I hope this clears up any misunderstandings. Enjoy the video, the decorations, and your holidays!
I take my hat off to you. What an awesome job! Fluffing Christmas trees can be very time consuming! Many, many moons ago I worked for a commercial florist in Nashville Tn. and I recall that we had to have all of our trees up and decorated on OCTOBER 1ST ! ! (as well as have the store decorated, Christmas music playing and all of our Christmas decor on the sales floor), which meant we started fluffing and decorating in the month of August.
I can't even begin to imagine how long it took you to create that fabulous look by yourself! I use to decorate my previous church for VBS (2 floors worth) alone and my goodness, it can take days. You did a wonderful job and I'm sure it was well received. Merry Blessed Christmas!
OMG..you definitely should have had help with all this. Do you have a committee at church that could have assisted? This is too much for one person but you of course did a beautiful job. I seem to recall you stating you didn't care to decorate alone. I totally understand, just having someone to pass you things or hold something. It would have taken me two weeks to do this. Lol. TFS
This took me about a month (off and on) to complete. I would have LOVED for someone to help me. But, I had to fit this in between everything else I had going on. It was tough but I got it done. 2025 will be different! 🙌🏽
@@YesEventDecoryou killed it girl!! Ok, I understand it would have been a little difficult to have someone there when you were doing it in between jobs etc. please figure out something easier for yourself next year. TFS
@olatokunbotorimiro3762 I don't think it is important at this point whether or not she got paid, the channel is meant to share her tips, tricks and insights into the event decorating industry, not to scrutinize her business. I would think her being someone who's been in this business for 10 odd years, I'd trust that she has her business figured out. There are some jobs you offer to do for free (at your discretion) as part of your way of giving back OR otherwise also called (CSI - Corporate Social Investment). I, for one, started by doing free jobs for my church, in turn, they became one of my best returning clients, booking me for some of their major events. They've never tried to negotiate my quote down & always pay on time. I'm glad I made that sacrifice coz they have also recommended me for many other jobs. So some jobs done strategically for marketing and CSI purposes can be very rewarding in return.
