King Booker was absolutely HILARIOUS with his fake british accent and facial expressions, then he would sometimes lose the accent and be his normal self. I’m so glad that WWE went back to now winning the tournament means you get a world championship opportunity, instead of just wear a crown and cape

No technically Zelina Vega won the Queen's Crown, it wasn't called Queen of the Ring back in 2021. Pretty much same thing but different names
I think my guy billy is righttt I'm pretty sure it was zelina Vega cause if nia won they would've said the first ever queen of the ring but they didn't, when Xavier became king of the ring zelina became queen of the ring

It's just that Billy Gunn wasn't the WWF's first pick to win the King of the Ring tournament in 1999. The original pick was supposed to be the Big Show, but he was out of shape when going from WCW to WWF.

The argument WWE had “someone else”, slated to win the KOTR, when that person was an out-of-shape Big Show, adds more truth to my claims about Billy.

All I have to say is that the King of the Ring tournament under Triple h's watch provides a whole lot more purpose than it ever did when Vince was in charge 🤷🏿♂️! And with both Gunther and Nia Jax getting title shots at SummerSlam after their crowning moments, seems like that the concept is finally in the step of the right direction 💯!

10 seconds in and my guy there are MANY things more prestigious than winning King Of The Ring
I never liked the king of the ring. Maybe Im so used to some serious stuff but I always thought it was really silly, The crown, cape, throne and scepter was so cartoonish even for today standards, and I really hated when the only prize was just a change of gimmick and was more for comedy reasons. I always wanted them to take it serious and gave them at least a huge trophy like in 2001 when Edge won or , a memorial title belt like the ones they award in Arabia or a world title oportunity.

They should make the KoR literally the kayfabe King of the WWE. They'd be allowed to do everything. book matches, etc.
Would be an interesting angle for someone who is an authoritative heel like Solo, but would only work once.
