I’m keeping up watching and liking your videos. I’ve noticed your viewing figures are going up over the last few months. Don’t give up your voice is a lot easier to understand than a lot of other videos. Tom Pemberton has started to ramble on I have told him . He is so difficult to understand and I’m from Lancashire as well as him . Keep up the good work
We used to milk a couple ofJerseys and Guernseys as house cows and bucket feed a few calfs. Which where Belgium blue and Aberdeen Angus Cross Jerseys. Lovely cows. Great video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Great video once again. We had a couple of jersey cows as house cows, in the late 60s my Father used to milk them by hand, all the surplus Milk would be put through a hand cranked milk cream separator (Centrifuge) it was really hard to turn till you got it turning. The cream was then salted, and once a week Father used an electric churn to make the Butter. Then a final rinse or two and he used wooden paddles to make 1lb pats of butter.
Hi yes certain varieties of mustard to help to control nematodes. It’s through bio fumigation. When you mulch the mustard it needs to be incorporated quickly into the soil and the soil sealed with a smooth roller. The gases given off during the break down of the mustard kill the nematodes. Although there a few like the one in this video the majority of our fields have forage crops for our cows following potatoes.
@@masterfarms I leave it until the frost kills it, the flowers were still going strong until December helping to feed the Bees, then cover with plastic until I am ready to till the ground. Love Jersey been there several times might try to get there this year for a holiday.

Ah nice I’m sure you had some very creamy milk! One of the big plus points of our Jerseys is the butterfat content.
Thanks for watching 👍
Hi it's great to see some good ploughing being done do you have any people take any potatoes before you harvest them
Yes sometimes although not that often, in fields close to houses we notice gaps where people have been harvesting them always very frustrating.
After I harvest my potatoes I plant mustard to over winter until the next season. Supposed to help get rid of Eel worm. Not sure if you use similar?
