I use acrylic craft paint . I buy it very inexpensive at the craft store. You only have to buy a few colors. I use red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, black, white, silver, gold. That is all I use and then I make a million designs mixing and matching the colors. I hope to see you painting with me! Nice to meet you here🥀🖤🥀🖤

Krista, I had found my biological dad the week before my mother passed away. I was with her when she passed and then made the call to find my father. I got to meet him twice and then he passed. Now, my house is empty because my children are now away. So in a small-time much was taken from me and I have been trying to find balance ever since. Niki, I feel the same way. I started out about a year ago just with nail dip powder trying to grow my icky nails out and have them look OK, but started looking at nail art on TH-cam. Robin was THE best one to watch, because she does the most amazing stuff with the smallest, and least expensive equipment. Happy New year to you, too!

I love your teaching persona, which of course is just the real you. I am teaching myself to do nails, not for money but as a way to relax. I suffer from bipolar and anxiety and I needed a form of expression that both challenged and soothed me. I love roses and I think it would be awesome if you did chintz- like on a teal background because that looks sooooo pretty on teacups!!!

It is acrylic paint on normal polish. It is topcoated/sealed with clear coat of regular polish. ❤❤

How was the acrylic dark red liquid till the lightest red was applied. My paint dries up very quickly.
keep adding water and white....each time you go in, you must have very thin acrylic paints. xoxo it is just a technique that takes getting used to :D
I've been a nail technician since 1989 and very blessed to have had a massive clientele, however, I was in downtown Charlotte NC and that is all professional banking women ,so I never had the chance to do alot of nail art because they couldn't have anything beyond regular polish and maybe a rhinestone here and there. After 21 yrs, I became burned out..not from doing nails but just dealing with the public...so for the past 10 years, I have not been active at all but just recently getting into it again..and boy have I missed out on alot..I've had to depend on folks like u to show me things I've missed out on, but too many have very uppity attitudes and I can't learn from that...you have the sweetest tone..and I love listening to you!! Thank you for your time and sharing your talent! Just beautiful!

With the dark red still being wet, won’t the lighter colors wash through and mix with the red?
Nope. But you want to just move your brush in and out very quickly. The more time that you spend in the wet paint the more mud you will make LOL

just ordered brushes earlier and was thinking about other nil polish colors I would need for nail art, then i saw this and did not expect to hear apple barrel paint (they did not teach me this in school and never learned in a salon) you have a new subscriber. that paint dry so fast..
it dries faster than you can get to it most of the time. usually you are adding water to thin it down. it dries in seconds/minutes.....so if you find you are drying too fast, it should be the consistency of hair dye most of the time and highlights are almost like water thin xoxo
