  • We welcome you in Jesus’ name to worship with us on Sunday July 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Sam Zumwalt preaches “Summer Musicals: The Music Man” (Romans 7:14-25). Bill Glisson leads worshipers in the singing of joyous hymns: “Before You, Lord, We Bow” (Entrance); “Softly and Tenderly, Jesus Is Calling” (Hymn of the Day); and “God of Our Fathers” (Recessional). Our Sunday distribution hymns are: “I Come, O Savior, to Thy Table” and “Living for Jesus.”
As we give God thanks and praise for 244 years of freedom to worship and His gift to all people of those inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness recognized by these United States of America, we invite you to wear red, white, and blue when you worship in person or drive through to receive Holy Communion.
Special music for the weekend includes: “Fanfare for the Common Man” (Copeland) for Bill Glisson’s organ prelude; “God Bless America” (Jan Betts, soloist) for the Saturday offering; “God Bless America” (Teresa Hall; Peggy Davis; Kris Hall; Barbara Teigland-Duff) for the Sunday offering; “Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory” (organ/piano duet by Bill Glisson and Jan Betts) for the postlude. The congregation will also sing one stanza of “My Country Tis of the Thee” before the Brief Order for Confession and Forgiveness
