Hi, I accidentally stumbled across your tutorial on cold enamel. You mentioned that after you've enameled the piece you can make a hole afterwards. My question is, will the enamel crack when drilling or punching a hole? Wouldn't it be better to have the piece predrilled before enameling it? I'm very intrigued with this new product and would love to see more tutorials. Thank you. You did a great job.
Because with traditional enameling, that enamel is glass and you have to have very high temperatures to melt the glass enamel so you're typically using a heat kiln or a torch to melt the glass enamels. Julie can confirm, but I think the 'cold' enamel is a plastic material of some sort, so the much lower temperature heat gun can melt the 'cold' enamel. HTH.
wonderful job!!!
Good tutorial - a million times better than the lousy one that Susan Kazmer tried to do. Thanks!

Lovely tutorial Jen!
do you have to apply resin afterwards? What would happen if you just left it without resin?
Great tutorial Jen, cheers

Why is it called cold enameling when you use a heat tool?
because it dosnt need to be baked i think
I want to try this. how ever, i want to stamp it with putting a name on it. should i do this before or after it is heated
How do you clean your brush after using Ice Resin Iced Enamels Medium?
OK, that makes sense. Thnx
In my lower thread I meant Jen, not Julie - SORRY Jen :)
It doesn't really look like enamel...
