I appreciate you taking the time to review my vehicle's performance. I reside in DHA Rawalpindi and own a KIA Sorento 2.4 FWD. It started developing issues with the shocks, so I took it to the KIA Potohar showroom for inspection. Unfortunately, the technicians were unable to identify the source of the steering wheel clutch sound that I described. After inspecting the vehicle, they could not find any issues. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership several times over the next nine months, but the noise continued to worsen. They assembled a team to further investigate, yet still could not identify the problem. I eventually took the vehicle to a KIA showroom in Islamabad with the same result; they were unable to diagnose the noise. They eventually referred me to a third KIA dealership. The technicians there correctly identified the cause as worn shocks and processed my warranty claim. However, it then took more than a month to acquire the necessary parts for repair, further even-though my car was in warranty they charged me 12-14 thousand for some part which was unreasonable. In total, it has been nearly a year of repeatedly bringing my vehicle in for the same issue. I have expended a significant amount of effort, time and fuel costs to address this problem. Overall, KIA makes excellent vehicles, but I hope the dealership can improve their warranty claims process. I regularly bring my vehicle in for scheduled maintenance at KIA Motors. I am concerned that should another issue arise while still under warranty, it may entail a similarly drawn-out process.
I have Sorento 2.4 AWD. I managed to maintain 8-9 km/L in city and 11-12 km/L on motorway with a light foot. Driving at 180 km/hr speed on motorway (not legal - I know - apologies), it went to 7-8 km/L. Its built quality is best among all comparable SUVs (Haval, Cherry, Tuscon etc). Drive is very smooth. 10K driven and its AWD is tested on a very rough and steep terrain. I am fully satisfied with my purchase decision.
I have Sorento 2.4Fwd since Aug 2022 and love it. Esp kids have a parry in 3rd row. We went to pir chanasi Kashmir, Murree, Muzaffarabad and regularly to Islamabad. Non-issues at all. Average is a bit low 8 in city but 11-12 on mtrwy. Thanks #kia 🌹
I do have Sorento and love this. Despite I had Fortuner 2015 and 2017 and kept it for years then I shifted to this vehicle due comfort and pleasure drive, miles better than Fortuner. Miss Pedal Shifters and lil off road feature but it’s value for money and Recommended option for potential buyers …
@@SaadSarfrazSheikh Sure I would ask you to go for Sorento as it’s comfortable and pleasure drive with Sunroof option as well. As mentioned, Fortuners disappointed me a lot as is not value to money with bumpy and uncomfortable and hard chassis. Ur can save money and can go for another car if u have money left vis buying Fortuner. I did have Fortuner 2015 but it’s heavy on fuel ⛽️. Sorento can give you 9 L/ 100 km or more depending upon drive ethics. Buy FWD Sorento and enjoy n leave Fortuner for good. Thirdly if u want to stick to Toyota, then Prado TZ 2007/2008 is also an option.Good luck with ur purchase
I broke my civic x transmission near SOST on my way back to Hunza from khunjurab. I did nothing wrong. During this experience I heard people break their transmissions using a paddle shifters a lot. I don’t know if this is a myth. Also can S also break transmission on hilly areas I never got to know

Only driver car seat have electric adjustments and all other have manual. My son is 18 years old with good built MA and always at rear seat with no compromise. I have been to Deosai, Skardu, Swat and Babusar, Naran and may places and thoroughly enjoyed ride along with family, as compared to my previous Fortuners. Fortuner is BAD ….
It was ok but need to check brakes; didn’t feel any issues though. Perfect n pleasure ride with one of the best memories due vehicle. Earlier I travelled on Fortuner from Khi to Swat n was terrible with backache n tiredness. That’s why I sold fortuner with 23k mileage only. Car has no vibrations with sunroof one can enjoy weather etc

What rubbish? I went to Malam Jabba 2 times on GLi manual, went to Patriata/Muree on Altis auto and they went without an issue. I kept Altis on D and there's no issues I faced, no heat up or whatsoever. GLi manual was fun to drive, smoothly went uphill. Just don't brake when coming downhill, keep in lower gear. There should be coolant in the radiator not plain water.
It's quite disappointing that a vehicle valued at over 7 million lacks the comfort features of ventilated and heated seats. Even more astonishing is the presence of this outdated model, the Kia Sorento, listed under the 2022-23 model years. You can easily get the new model under 7 million PKR in other country.

Since your are talking about off road, Fortuner is indeed a hard ladder frame or a 4x4 that's why it will be better for off-roading, but it doesn't make a Sorento uncapable of off-roading, it will be just light off-road. Fortuner will beat Sorento in off-raod, but there a very few people who are doing hard off-road, an SUV like Sorento with AWD is more than enough, the AWD will also increase grip on wet road. The Sorento platform is not of a crossover it was a mistake, a crossover platform is Honda BR-V for example.

I took the Suzuki Alto manual to Islamabad to Naran then Skardu and Astore. It was a very smooth ride.
