Personally, I like the way they portrayed Harley in this. She's not just Joker's little girl that's used in his schemes. She's not just some sidekick to a great villain. She's actually held her own out there, and even John is trying to get her respect, and he's the Joker! She's managed to lead a couple of popular villains on her own to. Plus I really like her outfit, it makes her look more modern and edgy.

I love this version of Harley Quinn. There is a potential sympathetic backstory that is unexplored though.

But if he did, he would not be an acceptable vigilante, even Gordon would have to stop him. The only reason Gordon lets him slide is because he doesn't kill, but rather, he just makes their cops jobs easier, by tying up their villains and delivering them over. Even Barbara Gordon when she was commissioner in Batman Beyond tried to come after Terry, because she believed that he had killed a person (though he was framed by Spellbinder).
The interesting thing is that Bob Kane and Bill Finger wanted Batman to use guns, as he was modeled after a character known as the Shadow, which was quite popular back in the day - and also The Bat (1926). The Bat was also done in 1959, by actor Vincent Price. The publishers didn't allow it, so the reasoning written behind Batman's anti-gun policy was because of his parents death and because he thought it was not the honorable way of the real fighter, but a crutch for a coward. The link below also explains that a gun doesn't require much effort. For action sake coming up with alternative ways to take down enemies, makes the story more interesting, though it would also make batman's job much challenging, and also more prone to get him killed.

Man. THIS makse so much more sense with Batman and Joker. Its amazing to think of how it go between them. Like that one story where literally Joker was in love with batman, where he killed Alfred who had cancer and Dick Grayson who just had a kid with Barbara. He had the best speech to Batman while both dangled from the ledge. He said it so well about the fact that he strained so hard to Save someone who just killed his family that in the end he NEEDED to just let the Joker die and the joker knew it, was sad in the end of that story Batman decided to let go of the ledge instead. This story as it progressed, almost sounds alot like that.

I love her in the same way that i love the Joker, and many other villains. She's such a badass. This is a woman that can step out of the shower and not only not be surprised to see Batman, but to back him into a corner.

Depends in which portrayal of her, in most she is a poorly designed, annoying character with no foresight, in a few she is actually well made and while seemingly evil she is more of a chaotic neutral who believes herself to be on the good side.

The other choice, if you are on the vigilante path, is to either dismiss her importance to the Agency or vow to bring her to justice. Either way it doesn't matter if she goes to jail or not because she will forever be trapped as between a pawn to the Agency or life in jail.

During the vigilante path, there were two other dialogue options: "Good luck with that" and no response. Aren't there different closing outcomes with those?
All dialogue options from 10:39 to 12:16 lead to the same outcome

The idea that you could just "arrest" (legally, kidnap) a legally empowered agent and send her to prison is ... hilarious. Not only wouldn't it go to trial, much less conviction, but those involved in the kidnapping would be arrested and sent to prison, very likely including Gordon.

I don't know if I am wrong but it feels like Harley Quinn here is the one who calls the shots not the joker.
One of the most bullshit dialogue options in this game was the one where the entirety of an outcome lies entirely upon *2* dialogue boxes. It fucked over my ending with Catwoman and pissed me off so much all because I didn't say "You owe me." like I'm supposed to expect Waller to not uphold her end of the deal unless I remind her of it. I kept asking where the fuck Catwoman was at the end because I brought Joker to her but nothing fucking happened even after taking all the deal routes to get to her. Dialogue choices like that should be a little more fucking transparent than that instead of treating it like any other 4 choice dialogue box.
